AMY WALKED IN her apartment after her fun night at Shaws. She couldn't stop thinking about Jake. About his really sweet offer and his goofy smile, he always has a way to cheer her up. But he was just a friend.

Just a friend.

That phrase killed her. She hated it. Friend. Just a friend. No, she doesn't want to be just friends. She wants to be something more. Something more meaningful, more beautiful. But deep down, she admitted sadly that it will never happen. It just can't. They have too much history.

She groaned loudly as she plopped down onto her maroon coloured couch. She buried her face in her throw pillows, trying to get a certain brown haired dork out of her mind.

"You okay?" a timid voice asked. It was him, her neighbour.

"Yes," she replied at first, "I don't know."

"Do you want to talk about it? I heard it helps," he offered her politely.

Amy thought about it for a moment. She really needed someone to talk to at this point. If she mentioned this to anyone on the squad, they would laugh their assess off instead of trying to help her. She realised this mystery man was her only choice.

"There's this guy," she began quietly.

"Ooo a lovers quarrel," the voice teased in an accent. Amy remembered when Gina said that once and chuckled softly at the memory.

"No, it isn't like that. We're not even together," Amy continued.

"Do I detect a crush?" the voice's teasing voice started again.

"N-no," Amy stuttered. She sighed before telling the truth, "Maybe. Just a little bit. But I don't know if he likes me back."

"How come?"

"I don't know, he appears to be himself. But sometimes he would give me side glances and warm smiles. I would sometimes catch him staring at me but when I look his way, he would look away."

"Sounds like this guy is into you as well," the mystery man concluded.

"What? No, that's crazy. We've known each other for years, we're just friends," Amy rambled.

"No, sounds pretty obvious to anyone else except you two. He likes you."

Amy stayed quiet for minute but was snapped back to reality when the voice spoke up again, "How do you feel around him?"
