JAKE PERALTA WALKED into the busy precinct. He swerved his way through the people, nearly spilling his hot coffee in his hand numerous times before he got safely to his desk. He set his coffee down before sitting rather recklessly on his chair.
"Morning Santiago," he greeted his partner who was sitting across the table from him. "You look like a mess."
"Shut up," she rolled her eyes, "I had a rough night."
"Ooo, looks like someone got laid the first time ever," Jake teased.
"Gosh Peralta, nothing like that happened," she scoffed, "I just had a horrible date, that's all."
"What did he do this time?" Jake asked with a bored tone.
"This time?" Amy asked with a curious look on her face.
"Yeah, I feel like all the dates you told me about were always horrible dates," Jake told her, "Although I can't relate, you can never go on a bad date with me."
"You're too full of yourself," she made a face at him which he returned.
"I don't know I guess, I never had an actual good date," she explained, "they always started fine but ended up rather sucky or boring."
"I bet if you went on a date with me you would have so much fun you'd piss your pants," Jake grinned.
"Did you just ask me out?" she smirked.
"Don't flatter yourself, Santiago," Jake rolled his eyes, "It's only for the sake of a bet."
"Alright fine, bet on Peralta," she agreed, "If I have a good time on this date, I will do your paperwork for a month."
"Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about," Jake grinned.
"But if I don't, you have to do my paperwork for a month," she smirked.
Jake's face fell, "No! But you love doing paperwork!"
"I love seeing you suffer more," Amy grinned evilly. Jake gave in and throw his hands up in the air in mock surrender, "Fine, whatever Santiago."
They shook hands, "Can't wait for you to lose Peralta," Amy smirked.
"You're going to have fun tonight, that's a Peralta guarantee," he retorted.

IT WAS THE night of their date and to say Amy was nervous was a huge understatement. She kept reminding herself that it was just some silly bet but that wouldn't settle with her tummy. Jake texted her half an hour ago to let her know she should dress casually and comfortably and that sparked her interest a little.
