I tried my best to write but I lack motivation so much these days.

Enjoy and sorry for mistakes

Taehyung walked back to the pack afterwards because there wasn't more he could do about what's happened. He cried on the way, making sure he let all his feelings out before he reached the gates. People were still gathered around a fire, some of Jeongguk's friends as well, and Taehyung tried his best to avoid eye contact with them because he was sure his eyes were puffy and red.

He walked inside the cooking area, drinking a glass of water to make up for the tears he's shed, then walked towards his own cabin to call it a night, a horrible one. He was sure that he won't be able to sleep because his chest hurt, so much that he felt breathless, his throat straining so much that it physically pained him to even talk, but it was worth a try. His spirit wolf was in pain as well, whimpering, and Taehyung already anticipated what he'll be forced to do in the following days. Whenever he was that sad the desire to make a nest and burry himself in it became stronger. Before, when Jeongguk's absence became too overwhelming, Taehyung even asked Yoongi for clothes of his whenever he came to visit because there was something about the other that comforted him. Not like Jeongguk's scent, like his mate's, but in a friendly way.

However, Yoongi wasn't there now and his scent from the clothes Taehyung had was long gone. He had to manage with Hoseok's spare shirts and blouses even if the other's scent wasn't that comforting since it wasn't that powerful. It was better than nothing to say the least so Taehyung was grateful.

After he finally bundled all his clothes and blankets on the bed, Taehyung stripped until he was only wearing his underwear, then dressed himself into a light shirt. He laid down, hugging a blanket to his chest, then cried himself to sleep, his mind full of dark thoughts and nightmares. He squirmed around all night but, at some point, when everyone else was sleeping, Taehyung felt a calming feeling overwhelm him. He didn't realize what was happening or why his nightmares faded but he managed to sleep peacefully afterwards.

In the following morning, unlike his hopeful nature, there were no new scents inside his room to let him know that someone's been there. Disappointment filled his chest because, even if it was childish and irrational, he still hoped that maybe it's been Jeongguk the one that's managed to calm him down. However, his assumption was wrong, because his bed was cold and his shirt still smelled like his flowery scent and detergent instead of the other's powerful scent.

Taehyung still got up from his bed, even if his wolf only wanted to hide and cry for a few more days. He couldn't allow himself to do that because, after all, Jeongguk hasn't rejected him. His mate purposely showed him he still felt the same by telling him those few words and Taehyung understood. He's known for a while already, he's known that their lives weren't meant to be spent together because those around them didn't want them to do so. Their circumstances were harsh but the fact that they were both still madly in love with each other brought him some kind of peace.

Some people were meant to fall in love, but not stay together, and he and Jeongguk were one of those sad cases. He couldn't do anything about it because acting on his feelings would bring him and Jeongguk to exile, most probably, so the only thing he could do was let it go and keep living.

When he finally walked outside, feeling the cold breeze hit his skin, Taehyung squinted his eyes because of the light. There weren't a lot of people out, most of them probably still inside since the weather wasn't that nice or inside the dining area, having lunch, something he should've done as well. He wasn't that hungry but he still walked there, opening the door and immediately cheering up when a child tugged on his pants.
