Minecraft Songs of War Season 2 Battle for Ardonia (COMPLETED)

Mount Velgrin

Senn and the group approached Mount Velgrin with caution that the Voltaris might still be there. but the horses plodded on, giving the sign that they were not in any danger. Skyleap trotted ahead of the group, eager to find her mistress and bring her home. Galleous pulled a Greatsword similar to Thalleous's but it wasn't enchanted. Hubris and Hadion pulled out their staffs just in case things got ugly and kept advancing into the higher reaches of the Mountain.

"careful, we don't want any attention drawn to us." Galleous warned the group quietly.

Senn nodded and had his spear ready at his side as Skyleap sniffed her way up the mountain. she started getting excited and started trotting noisly.

"Senn, quiet her down! what's with her?" Hubris whisper shouted behind Senn.

"i'm not sure. Skyleap, heel." Senn whisper shouted back.

suddenly, a spear was thrown and landed right infront of Skyleap, who reared back in surprise and ran back to the group. Hadion pulled out a bow and arrow and nocked it was another spear came flying towards them. he let loose an arrow in the direction of the spear came from, obviously missing the attacker. Galleous signaled the group to get the horses to move faster to get away from the assault, but no matter where they went, spears kept raining down. Skyleap got a nick on her left shoulder but the horse powered up the mountain like she wasn't even injured. they finally reached the peak where it looked like someone was camping, and there were several horses tethered to boulders lying around. one horse looked up and neighed in delight to see it's fellow horse. which caused a ruckus of the other horses greeting their friend.

Hubris pulled his horse next to one of the mares', a beautiful snow-white mare, and got of his Shadow. he started inspecting the area when he found a Master Staff used in the Great War leaned against a boulder. Senn stayed on Skyleap and circled the perimeter. Galleous stayed watch on Timber and Hadion joined Hubris. Senn noticed a figure in the boulders, but when he went to go investigate, he heard shouts of suprise and sounds of fighting. he whipped Skyleap around to find a few Ardonians in defense mode, a Nestoris holding the Master Staff found on the boulder. a female Sendaria was holding double blades while a Mendorian leaned against a rock with a sword held in front of him.

" i was expecting Voltaris." the Nestorian spoke, angling his Staff towards the ground.

the Sendarian looked right at Galleous and lowered her weapons.

"i wasn't expecting you, Galleous. if Skyleap reached Ataraxia, i was expecting a Master." she said.

at the mention of her name, Skyleap bounded forward, jostling poor Senn in his saddle. the Sendarian's eye lighted up as she saw the mare coming towards her and stroked Skyleaps muzzle.

"good girl. who's a good girl?" the Sendarian cooed as the horse nuzzled her hand.

Senn got off Skyleap as Galleous got off Timber. "you must be Arthulilia Sendaris." he said.

"i am. Galadar and i are one of the few who remain in the Voltaris attack. Achillean just joined us before after the Voltaris left. they need the Prime songs for Ingressus, but Tygren has two Songs, so Ingressus might be stronger than before." Arthulilia said.

"Achillean? how...?" Hadion asked before being interrupted.

"he came through after the Voltaris left. a few Ardonians fled the battle and hid after Deathsinger came through, so we managed to find them and coax them out of hiding." Arthulilia continued.

"i'm glad to see that some of you are ok." Hubris said as some Ardonians came out of hiding.

"what of my sister, Amberilia? is she ok?" Arthulilia suddenly asked.

"she's fine. i saw her at the Council meeting before we left." Hadion assured the suddenly anxious female.

Arthulilia visibly relaxed. "thank the Lord." she sighed.

"Who's Amberilia? what's she known for?" Senn asked.

"she's a weapon-smith and a trainer. lets say those two are like me and Thalleous." Galleous spoke up.

Hadion was tending to Galadar's leg while Hubris and Galleous remained on watch. Senn was watching Arthulilia tend to Achillean, suprised to see he needed some help.

"How far into the future or past are we?" Tidesinger spoke after his injuries were patched up.

"150 years into the future. and there was a reason we didn't know about your disappearances all those years ago, we now have answers. damn Tygren." Arthulilia sighed.

Tidesinger grumbled. "i suppose you saw this coming, didn't you?" he asked.

"Thalleous, Galleous and i knew. but no one would listen. afraid they'll listen now. good thing is, Thalleous moved the Prime Songs to safer areas before Sendaria was burned." Arthulilia grumbled, now cooking some stew.

"Thalleous? where is he?" Tidesinger asked.

"i was told you knew him well, Tidesinger." Senn answered.

"we've fought together before. Thalleous moved the Songs, thank goodness. but does anyone know where he put them?" Achillean asked a second question.

"I was with him when he hid one. i know where it is. but i won't say it for specific reasons." Senn said.

"good choice. you must know Thalleous yourself. has he changed in 150 years or has he just stayed the same?" Achillean asked.

"i knew him well. i knew him to be taking precautions, quite alert. before Tygren got him, he was very protective." Senn mumbled.

"Tygren? first he brings Deathsinger to the future and now he has Thalleous? that Voltaris is one trouble maker." Achillean grumbled.

"no, Achillean. Tygren threw a spear at him while he retreated. he gave me enough time to get away from Sendaria before the Voltaris could get me." Senn snapped, startling Arthulilia and Achillean.

"Tygren killed him? i expected he'd live a full life but to be killed trying to protect Ardonia was not what i was expecting. he was a good friend and ally. he was the best fighter in Sendaria in my view." Tidesinger murmured in shock.

Senn hung his head. "he was the guy who saved me from a Voltaris attack. but he never told me who my family was, or where i came from. he said one day finding the truth might help me find peace." Senn said quietly.

"And right he is. very wise Ardonian, Thalleous was." Galleous said from his spot.

Hubris turned back to the still open portal and tilted his head.

"how long will that thing be open for?" He asked.

the Ardonians shrugged. 

"no clue. we didn't make it." Arthulilia said darkly.

the group settled down for the night with a few on shifts. Senn had a thought come into his mind.

since Tidesinger knew Thalleous, maybe he knew who he was.
