(sos for the poor chapter title, but this is where more drama and feels are as its the ending of my Season 2 book. then i'll move onto season 3. plus, this image was sent to me on Instagram and i downloaded it cuz i need it for this story)
The weary group rode their horses along the bridge, Senn had once again fallen asleep on Galleous's shoulder. the poor kid barely got sleep at night due to nightmares that had gotten worse after what happened in Riverview and kept falling asleep on the trek. the group let him, since he was the most effected in that incident and wouldn't talk about it unless they were planning on attacks on the Necromancers. when the Necromancers used Ardonians as their own pawns in the battle, they'd declared war on the Ardonians as well.
When they entered the city, it was night time. They got off their horses and took them to the stables while Galleous and Authulilia took Senn to his room. since the boy was still asleep. Galleous volunteered to keep an eye on the young male incase he had another nightmare. for three nights, he'd woken up the travelers with screaming and had Galleous to keep an eye on him for the rest of the night. Achillean went to the Masters to tell them the news, the Ardonians went to their houses to tell their families the Necromancers had declared war on them by using the bodies they'd taken from their graves. the Feldin Army welcomed their recruits back and swore to help the Ardonians even if it killed them.

Galleous was tucking in Senn, who curled up under his blankets and hugged his pillow, whimpering in his sleep. Galleous sighed and sat on the bed next to the youngling, stroking his hair gently. Authulilia watched from the doorway, arms folded, leaning on the door frame. 15 minutes later, Galleous got up from where he was sitting and left the boy to sleep. when he closed the door, he turned to the other Sendarian and shrugged his arms, unsure what to do now.
"just, go wait in the living room. i'll create something to get his attention. Achillean said the photo was in a frame on a cabinet in Thalleous's room. the only thing that will break is the photo frame, trust me on that."Authulilia explained what she was going to do.
"you better not break anything or it'll be the death of you, understood?" Galleous snarled.
Authulilia rolled her eyes, chuckling."you underestimate me, Galleous. now go on. get some rest. we'll meet up in the morning." she said, lightely shoving Galleous's shoulder.
Galleous looked one more time at Senn's closed door and walked away down the stairs. he needed time alone and time to think, let alone rest.

Senn heard a noise upstairs and looked up, confused. he left his room and looked up the hall at the stairwell. Galleous had said that Thalleous's room was up there and hadn't been touched since he'd left after the First Great War after an argument the two brothers had. Senn went up the stairs and looked into his old mentors room and found there was a cabinet that had tipped over. Senn walked over and pushed the cabinet up when a piece of paper that hand landed on his feet. he put the cabinet back where it had fallen from and bent to pick up the paper when he noticed that it wasn't just paper but was a photograph.

Senn stared at the photo. it had Thalleous, Galleous, Achillean and a female bluebell Sendarian in some building. the Sendarian female had a lily in her hands, same with Thalleous. from what Aurora and Orion had told him about flowers, lilies meant good luck, motherhood, rebirth and love. and in some Ardonian weddings, it meant love. Senn looked at the Sendarians and found that Thalleous and the female Sendarian looked very happy, the female resting her head on Thalleous's shoulder while his arm was wrapped around her. Achillean had his hand on the females shoulder and was smiling warmly while Galleous looked like he had tears in his eyes and his hand was on Thalleous's shoulder.
