Nobody's POV
Buck never thought that his honeymoon would joined by Maddie and Chimney. Or that he would be standing in front of the house he grew up in. Or that he would be going to his aunts funeral a week after his wedding. None of this was ever how he pictured his honeymoon. Eddie and Buck could only get three days off for their honeymoon and they took it but when Buck got a call and hour after their wedding from Maddie that their aunt had died and left something in her will for them. He had to go especially after telling his husband about it. So now Christopher was with Shannon and Eddie, Maddie, Chimney and Buck were standing in front of their parents house. The same parents that refused to come to his wedding but this is were the lawyer wanted to meet so they are here. They looked stupid because it was raining too. Funny thing that it rained at his aunts funeral. She loved the rain so much. Buck hadn't cried which he should have since she raised him but he just couldn't find himself to cry. Everyone but the lawyer was in the house. Three families. Maddie and Buck weren't going into the house until the lawyer gets there. Chimney and Eddie were freezing. They look at each other then their significant other
"Guys it's freezing out here why can't we just go in" Chimney says
"Not until the lawyer gets here then we are leaving once we figure all this crap out" Maddie says and looks at him
Eddie puts his hand on Buck's shoulder
"Buck babe come on I'm freezing" Eddie says
Buck looks at him
"I'm so sorry this is a horrible honeymoon" Buck says
A car pulls into the driveway. A man and a women get out of the car. They had umbrellas and run over to them
"You must be Maddie and Evan" the women asked
"Yeah can we get this over with" Maddie says
"Yes this way" the women says and knocks on the door
Melissa Buckley opens the door
"Are you the lawyer" Melissa asked
"Yes we are" the man says
They go inside and everyone is sitting in the living room. The four sit on the couch. Eddie was shaking. Buck pulls him into his lap
"Better" Buck asked
"A little" Eddie says
Buck could feel everyone staring at him
"Evan you will not bring that shit into my house" Scott his dad says
Buck just flips him off. The lawyers pull out paper work
"Hello everyone I'm Kate and this is my partner Sam" Kate says
Everyone just looks at her
"We are here today to discuss Helen Buckley's will" Kate says
"Yes now what did I get" Greg their cousin says
"Sir we will get to that in a minute" Sam says
"We want to make sure that everyone is aware that we can't do anything about what it says in this will" Kate says
"Yeah we understand" Sophia says
"Okay ma'am" Kate says
Kate grabs paper hand hands them to Buck, Melissa, Maddie, Greg and Sophia
"In these it contains that information and a note from her" Kate says
Greg, Sophia and Melissa opens theirs. They all look at each other then turn to Kate and Sam
"What is this" Greg ask
"I'm sorry but I have no clue what they say" Kate says
"They say we get nothing this must be a joke" Sophia yells
They all look at Buck and Maddie. They haven't opens theirs
"Open them" Kate says softly
Maddie opens hers and gasp
"Buck open it" Maddie says
Buck opens his and it's a check for 3 million dollars. A note falls out and Melissa grabs it
"Hey that's mine" Buck yells
"I'll read it out loud for you" Melissa says angrily
"Dear Evan, I'm so sorry I wasn't able to save you. You pushed until you broke. The day you left I was so happy for you. I haven't seen you in 10 years. When I die it will be longer. Maddie calls me sometimes and I understand why you haven't called yet. She tells me how you meet a guy. She tells me that you are a firefighter and that you hurt yourself a while ago. I also know you are getting married son and that you have a son. I'm so happy for you. I miss you the most and I wish I could be there for you the way they weren't. You deserve love and a home and I know you found it in that man. Maddie sent me a picture of him too and god created him with everything Evan and he's so cute and that little boy is the cutest thing ever. I see picture on Facebook of you smiling and I couldn't be happier so you and Maddie get half of my money each. 3 million is a look so do good with it. What the hell is this." Melissa yells
Maddie grabs the letter
"Is that it" Maddie asked
"No ma'am but y'all can go that's the most important part" Kate says
They get up and run to the hotel they are staying in. Buck and Maddie were speechless
"She just gave us 3 million dollars and her kids didn't get anything." Maddie yells
Buck turns to Eddie
"So my honeymoon isn't over so I'm gonna go have sex with my husband for the first time" Buck says
"Y'all haven't had sex as a couple yet" Chimney asked
"No dummy they haven't had sex as husbands yet" Maddie says
"Oh" Chimney says
Buck and Eddie just laugh as they leave the room
