Nobody's POV
Everyone had a 24 hour shift. Carla agreed that she could watch Christopher. Eddie is so thankful for her. They are sitting in the truck going back to the station. Both Buck and Eddie had gotten burned in the fire. Hen and Chimney wrapping them up but they also need a shower so the bandage wasn't staying. Buck's was bleeding a little. They get back to the station nad take off their gear
"You boys go get a shower" Bobby tells them
"No sex" Hen yells
"Funny" Buck says back and pulls Eddie to the shower
They did shower together though. When they were clean and dressed. They decided to get bandaged back up. Hen did it
"There you two go" Hen tells them
All of them go upstairs. Bobby was cooking something. Eddie walks over and sits on the island
"What you making" Eddie asked
"Mac and Cheese it's easy and fast" Bobby tells him
"How long" Eddie asked
"A few more minutes I know your tired and hungry" Bobby says patting his arm
"Just hungry not tired yet" Eddie says
About 15 minutes later the food was done. Buck walks over and grabs a bowl and puts food in it then puts it in front of Eddie and makes himself a bowl. Eddie feel asleep. Buck shakes his shoulder
"Hey Eds food" Buck whispers
Eddie looks at the bowl
"Thanks" Eddie says
Everyone was eating. Half way through Eddie gets a phone call from Carla
"Hello" Eddie answers
"Edmundo" Helena yells
Eddie hangs up. He was too tired to deal with his mother. His phone rings again and he just ignores it. It rings about 10 more times
"Eddie are you going to answer that" Chimney asked
"Nope" Eddie says
"Why" Hen asked
"Because I'm tired and can't deal with my parents right now" Eddie says looking at Buck who's eyes got big
"You okay Buck" Bobby asked
"Who wants to allow me to sleep on their couch for a few days" Buck asked
"Not happening" Eddie tells him
"Eddie your parents hate me. I've never actually met them and they hate me" Buck says
"We have a few more hours in this shift and then I want to go home and sleep in my bed with my fiancé" Eddie says completely forget that they haven't told them they were engaged
"Y'all our engaged" Hen yells
Eddie looks at Buck and mouths sorry
"Yeah I asked Eddie to marry me last week" Buck tells them
"Is that why his parents hate you" Hen asked
"Yeah I tired doing it the right way but got told no. So I just went with Christopher's yes" Buck explains
"Good choice" Hen says
"So where's the ring" Bobby asked
Eddie pulls a necklace out with the ring on it
"How didn't I notice you started wearing a different necklace" Hen asked
"I'm not. I put it on my Saint Christopher necklace. So now both my boys are close to my heart" Eddie explains
"So will you get another ring" Chimney asked
"Yes probably" Buck says
They talk about other things. They have five more small calls and then they can go home at 3. Buck decide to drive home because Eddie could barely keep his head up. Right when they got in the car Eddie fell asleep. Buck had one hand on the steering will and the other was rubbing circles with his thumb on Eddie's hand. When they get home. Eddie's parents, Carla and Christopher were outside. Buck gets out and walks over to Eddie's side of the car
"Eddie babe I wish I was strong enough to care you but I'm not. And if I could we would have so much more shower sex" Buck jokes
Eddie let's out a soft laugh and rubs his eyes
"Why are they still her" Eddie asked
"Just go to bed" Buck tells him
"Can't they want leave if you try sending them away" Eddie explains
"Who said I wasn't coming to bed with you" Buck asked
"What" Eddie asked confused
"I text Carla earlier and her husband is on a business trip so she said she could stay until we woke up or Christopher went to bed" Buck says
Eddie gets out of his truck. He grabs Buck's hand. They both hug Christopher and Carla then go to bed. At 6 they wake up again to the smell of food. They both get up and make their way to the kitchen. Carla was cooking something
"Did y'all sleep while" Carla asked
"It was okay" Buck says
Eddie was wrapped up in a blanket and was clinging to Buck
"Someone's being clingy today" Carla says
"I don't know why" Buck tells her and they both look at Eddie
He looked like he was about to go back to sleep
"Hey no you got to say awake" Buck shakes him awake
"Why" Eddie whines
"You have to eat something" Buck says
"Wake me when that's done" Eddie says
"It's done babe" Buck tells him
Eddie grabs food and starts eating. He didn't care to wait he was hungry and tired. Carla takes the rest to the table and Christopher and Eddie's parents walk in and sit down. Eddie didn't even bother taking the blanket off. They start eating in silence for a while then Helena says something
"Can you take off the blanket" Helena asked you could hear how annoyed she was
"Daddy usually wear a blanket if Buck pulls him out of bed" Christopher tells them
Buck and Eddie smiles at Christopher
"Well it's not okay for the table" Helena tells him
"Will you fuck off" Buck asked
"Excuse me" Helena yells
"I think you heard me" Buck says
"There is a child at this table" Helena yells
Buck looks at Christopher who giggle. In the house Buck can say whatever he wants as long as Christopher promised he doesn't say any of it
"I know" Buck says
"Get out of my sons house" Helena yells
"Actually you can get out of my house. I will show you the front door" Buck gets up
"Eddie" Helena says looking at Eddie who fell asleep on his hand
"I will call the cops. Actually my mother is working tonight I can call her if you want me too" Buck tells them
They both get up and Buck leads them to the front door and slams it behind them. In the kitchen Eddie jumps
"What happened" Eddie asked
"Buck just kicked your parents out like a badass" Carla tells him
"Damn right I did. Now let's get you to bed" Buck says
Eddie walks to their bedroom. Buck got Christopher showers and in bed and soon was laying in bed. Eddie wrapped in his arms.
"I love you" Eddie says before falling asleep
'I love you too" Buck says kissing Eddie's hair then going to sleep
