"I love you Seokjin."

"I love you Hoseok."

So this was it. The divorce was over, they were officially no longer together. Seokjin gave Hoseok a small half-smile before walking off. Hoseok stared sadly at the other's broad shouldered silhouette as he walked away. He knew this was good for  both of them but it still saddened him.

Hoseok sighed as he ran his hands through his hair is aggravation. "What the hell Seokjin?!" He screamed. "Is this not what you wanted?!" Seokjin screamed back. "NO! Not at all! My god do you even know me anymore?!" Hoseok screamed. Seokjin went quiet and stared at Hoseok, his expression numb. "Maybe it's you who doesn't know me. At least if you can't see I had good intentions." Seokjin said before grabbing his jacket and walking off. "Jin wait-" Hoseok started but the other was already gone.

"Great going Hoseok, you've done it again." He whispered to himself.

"Come on!" Hoseok giggled as he dragged the older up the hill. "Seok, I don't know.." Jin said as he tiredly made his way up the hill. "Oh c'mon it'll be fun!" Hoseok said. "No, it won't. Hoseok I've got a meeting I really need to go to." Seokjin said, still in his office attire. Hoseok froze. "Oh okay." He said. Seokjin gave him an apologetic look. "Look, I'm really sorry but I'm needed at the office. You know how important this promotion is for me. I'm sure the food is wonderful but I don't have time." Seokjin said as he slipped on his work coat. He kissed Hoseok on the cheek before walking off. "Bye, love you too..." Hoseok whispered as his right hand still tightly grasped the picnic basket. 

He finished his journey up the hill and sat in the cool shade of the grand tree and sighed. He ate his sandwich as his mind raced with a million thoughts. Did Seokjin not want to be with him?

No, Seokjin loved him as much as he loved him. Right?

He called Taehyung to finish the lunch with him instead of Seokjin.

Hoseok cried as he slipped his ring off his finger. He couldn't do it anymore. Seokjin didn't even take time off from his job for their anniversary. He wondered if what he felt was love or pain at this point because the line between the two was so thin. He sobbed as he went down memory lane and all of the once beautiful moments between the two that once seemed like a dream seemed to turn into a complete and utter nightmare.

Everything he loved about Seokjin he grew to utterly hate.

"Oh my god Hoseok, Seokjin is amazing! Where'd you meet him?" Jungkook asked with bright eyes. Hoseok gave him a small smile. "Kook, let me tell you something, some mistakes get made. That's alright, that's okay. In the end it's better for you." Hoseok smiled. Jungkook looked confused but nodded. 

Hoseok and Seokjin made mistakes and that was alright. They thought they were in love but they must've fell out of it. That's okay. In the end, it was better for them.

That's the moral of story.
