A/N: listening to: "Murder In My Heart" by the awesome Sheryl Crow!!!!

Welcome back, my wonderful readers! Welcome back to another addition of 'Jay, Noah, and Vinny get in trouble'! I'm really happy to have really returned to the Slenderverse fandom (I may be a slight bit rusty on the Osiris Chronicles, but I can basically retell the entire Dark Knight, Injustice, and craps tones of other nerd things, lol!) so, please enjoy!

Third Person P.O.V

"JAY!" he looked up, spotting Jessica at the other end of the tunnel. "Jessica?!" He called, a long lost smile returning to his face. She took one step into the tunnel towards him.

BANG

She grabbed her stomach, falling to the ground. "JESSICA!" He screamed. He tried running, but a strong hand grabbed his arm, pulling him the other way, "WE NEED TO GO!" It was Tim, dragging him out into the sunlight. He stopped as they hit the rocks, Jay spotting why; a semicircle of the Collectvie. He felt his hands starting to shake, the camera clutched firmly. He looked back at the tunnel, just as Alex stepped out, gun in hand.

"Tim, they're all around-" "I know..." he replied through gritted teeth, brown eyes squinting against the bright sky as he searched for escape. Jay looked to the sky, seeing the sun replaced with an eye, staring right down into his soul.

Tim whipped around, throwing his backpack at Alex, knocking him off balance. Jay grabbed the gun, prying it out of his hands, Tim finishing with a punch to the face. They ran into the mouth of the tunnel, but again came to a stop. The Slender Man in the middle of it, looking at them... disapprovingly.

Arms reached out of the shadows, the static mixing with Habit's deranged, multilayered laughter. The arms grabbed them both, pulling them away from each other. "TIM!" he cried, just as an arm wrapped around his friend's neck. He racked up, trying to fight back, but it jerked, pulling his head with a snap. His body fell to the ground, limp. "TIM?!" he cried, reaching out. The arms wrapped around his face, dragging him into the darkness.

"Jay?"

His eyes snapped open, heart racing. It was Noah in the driver's seat. "You drifted off," He explained, looking sympathetic, "you looked tired, so I figured bad sleep's better than none." It was true, that's all that got him by for these years. He nodded and sat up, asking with a sleep graveled voice "Where are we?" "At our destination." Vinny spoke from the back seat. It was a Days Inn hotel. "Mmm," He nodded, unbuckling his seatbelt, "I've had my fill of these places..."

They stepped out, following the guide to a dingy door. Noah reached his hand to knock, distracted when three people came charging from the parking lot. The strangers stopped when they saw the three men. "Umm, hi." Josh said, "Why are you at our door...?" "We're following a map," Vinny said, "I guess from your camera and your freaked out faces, you know what business we're in."

Josh nodded, Austin adding, "Well, we've seen your videos," He turned to Jay, "Aren't you... dead?" "Long story." He shrugged, "Are you even old enough to be here?" "Technically," Josh cocked his head, "not really. But we got a message we needed to come here to get answers. Some hatchet wielding psycho just chased us-" "Habit..." Vinny murmured, staring at his feet. "-And now we're here."

They opened the door, finding another map wedged in it. As Vinny unfolded it, Jay started planning for excuses to leave. He needed to see Tim now more than ever. "Oh good," Vinny sighed, "It's Kentucky." "Not far," Noah nodded, "Well, we're running out of car space." "You'll have enough," Jay said, "I need to leave."

Vinny took the new trio to the car as Noah said, "Jay, you can't go-" "Why not?" "Well, this is about you," he explained, "I don't know why, but you're supposed to get these people." "I just want to go back to normal," Jay shrugged, "I want to find Tim, and I want to see if Jessica's- if she's still... here." "Okay, listen, after this next one, we'll go together," Noah said, "No need in being alone in this situation. Look, Kentucky's on the way to Alabama from here! Firebrand said that you need to do this." "...It's really not on the way," Jay turned to the car, adding, "But I guess I'm in."

Noah was lucky enough to have bought a van, still able to carry the newly 6 member group. As they approached, Jay said "Give me your keys." "Why?" "You look tired." He said, repeating Noah from earlier. He nodded, passing them and taking the passenger seat.

"F**k," Habit grunted, kicking at the root that tripped him. He stumbled into the woods, deeper and deeper. Blood poured out of his gunshot wounds and ears, and more recently, his nose joined in. The body was dying. It couldn't take the strain, and he couldn't possess it long enough to repair it without destroying it himself.

He fell by the tree, disoriented by the spinning world. Slender Man appeared before him. He giggled, squirming in the dead leaves, "Hya, Mr... Slender Man.." He giggled, "So, I kinda need a favor... don't you mention this to anyone, alright?" He giggled at his own joke. Slender Man stood, unmoving, unresponsive. He said "I'll do some recon. See ya later..."

Habit's head fell, and he lay silent for a moment, before he slowly coiled up in pain. He let out a cry, looking around, "Vinny?" Evan called, voice rough, "Where-" He looked ahead and saw Slender Man standing over him. He tried to get up. He tried to run, but the Slender Man grabbed him. He cried out, "Help!" no one heard, and Slender Man drug him away.
