Even If There's Uncertainty

I felt relieved. Sab is okay, and it makes me feel so happy that she finally made reconciliation with her sister and her family.

After my own graduation party, I finally decided to pursue the summer internship in New York. Mom is very supportive, and she even wanted to live with me during my stay there.

Inayos agad namin ang mga requirements. I also always made sure to send Sab messages, even when I was busy. Simula kasi noong graduation, hindi ko pa siya nakikita, so a bunch of messages and calls will do for now.

Sinabi naman niya na she's also occupied with spending time with her family, especially now that her ate Amara has returned home after spending years away.

To be quite honest, I'm happy for my girlfriend, which is why I let her take the time that she needs. But of course, part of me also wants to spend time with her alone. Lalo pa na two months from now, aalis din ako.

Sinabi ko iyon kay mom dahil alam kong siya lang ang makaka-intindi.

"Tell that to Sab. I'm actually fine if you two have plans on spending those two months living together."

"Seriously?" I commented habang kasama ko siyang mag-shopping for my things na dadalhin sa New York.

"Of course, and besides, I also need that time to push for the renovation of the house." Sagot ni mom.

She had mentioned this to me before. Mafe-feature kasi ang mansyon sa isang kilalang interior design magazine. To invest in a bigger company, my mom and my grandparents also intended to sell the property. Pero hindi ko pa alam kung kailan iyon. As of now, tine-treasure pa ni mommy ang memories na nabuo sa naging tahanan namin after their divorce.

"So you're saying that I should stay in Sab's place for the meantime? Is that it?"

Mommy only nodded and gave me a wide grin.

"Don't tell me you haven't done it yet?"

"Oh my gosh!" I think I just blushed at her blunt remark.

"It's fine, sweetheart. No need to be shy about it." Napatawa si mommy. "By the way, it was nice to know that you and Gavin are finally okay."

Way to change the subject. I laughed inwardly.

"He simply decided to suddenly disregard both Celine and me. We didn't actually quarrel."

Which is true, dahil ilang buwan din siyang hindi nagparamdam sa amin. Gavin took civil engineering, and it's a five-year course kaya next year pa ito ga-graduate. Noong graduation party ko ay naroon siya. He even gave me a bouquet of red roses. Hindi na namin pinag-usapan ang rason kung bakit hindi niya na kami pinansin. We just talked again, like old friends do.

"You should all bond with Sabrina's friends. It will be fun."

Isa pa sa napansin ko kay mom ay madalas niyang name-mentioned si Sab. Hindi na rin ako magtataka dahil sa ilang beses na pagtatambay ng huli sa mansyon, napapadalas din ang pag-uusap nila ni mommy.
