My friends are the ones who prepared everything. Cris got Hazel's number and he was the one who set the exact date and time. Rowan prepared my clothes, while Hillary fixed my hair in a knot bun.
Si Edmerson ay nasa labas ng unit ko para ayusin ang makina ng sasakyan ni Papa. Yup he's gay and he knew how to operate machines.
Ang dami nilang bilin bago ako pinakawalan.
"Buy some flowers and chocolates... or a white teddy bear instead!"
"Pagbuksan mo siya ng pinto ha!"
"Don't be mean, you should learn how to use flowery words."
Iilan lang yan sa mga advice nila. Napapatawa nalang ako dahil sa kung anu-anong naiisip ng mga loko.
While on the way, Ate Amara suddenly made a call. Good thing I have a phone holder here, mahirap na baka mahuli pa ako. Hindi rin pwede na hindi ko sagutin dahil mahirap mag reason-out kay Ate.
"Are you driving?" Pagbungad niya.
"Yes Ate may lakad ako. Ba't ka nga pala napatawag?" Pasulyap-sulyap lang ako sa screen habang nagmamaneho.
"Ah okay, I just called to let you know na may dadating na padala sayo next week." I glanced at the screen and I noticed she's still wearing a white coat.
"Naka-duty ka Ate? Akala ko afternoon shift ka? 4am na dyan ah" I asked worriedly knowing how workaholic my sister is. She's a doctor but then she's not capable of taking good care of herself, she always think of other people's well-being so I always make sure to remind her everyday.
"Yes but I decided to switch schedule, yung ipapadala ko pala sayo si Ali na ang maghahatid, your brother misses you so call him if you have time... teka saan ka nga pala pupunta?"
That's her, that's my Ate. Her time is so precious that she would combine different topics in one sentence. Nakuha pa niyang isingit kung nasaan ako.
"Susunduin lang si Hazel, lalabas kami." I answered as honest as possible. Mahirap na magsinungaling.
"Who's Hazel?" Mala-pusa ang mga mata nito.
"Kaklase lang Ate, sige na mamaya ka na tumawag baka mahuli pa ako ng police. Paki-kumusta nalang ako kay Kuya Beltran. Bye!"
"Wait ---" I ended the call and laugh. Akala niya siguro hindi ko alam na nagka-balikan sila ng ex niya. I have my ways.
Nasa may traffic light na ako nang si Papa naman ang tumawag. Talk about bad timing huh?
"Sab ano itong pinagsasabi ng Ate mo?"
