*** Hazel's ***

"I think this is not a good idea, Hazel." Gavin commented in a serious tone. He's gently stroking Ollie's head - my Scottish fold cat.

I invited them over in our house to help me prepare for our date. Celine is doing little curls on my hair while I do my own make-up. Si Gavin ay ino-obserbahan lang kami habang nakaupo sa sofa kasama si Ollie. He's obviously against the idea.

"What are you so worried about? Wala ka bang tiwala kay Hazel?" Pag-kontra ni Celine.

"I trust Hazel but I'm not sure about Sabrina. I'm worried that she might put Hazel in danger."

Celine and I both produce a giggle.
"Don't worry Gav, I can handle it. Don't exaggerate things, okay? I know Sab, hanggang salita lang talaga siya."

"You don't know that. She's a bully remember? Lalo pa sayo. She hates you to the core." Pagdiin pa niya.

"You still don't understand why she's doing this my friend. Hazel's mission is to finally pull down Sabrina's horn." Celine explained after putting the curling iron back to its place.
"Magaling sa confrontation 'tong si Hazel kaya may tiwala akong mapuputol niya ang sungay no'n."

Naghahanda na kami ni Celine habang si Gavin ay tila hindi pa kumbinsido. He stays like that even after we're done.

"Good luck on your date, daughter. Tell me all about it later, okay? Sana naman may pumasa na sa standards mo anak." Mom kisses me goodbye. She's busy on her laptop before I interrupted.
By the way she doesn't have any idea on who will I date today.

"Thanks Mom. Pero hindi naman po ako nagmamadali magka-boyfriend. I would go on dates just to have fun and gain friendship." That's a fact. May mga nagugustuhan naman ako pero hindi umaabot sa pakikipag-relasyon. Hanggang pagkakaibigan lang.

"Well that's okay, if you don't feel like it then it's okay to say no. I always knew you have different approach on how to handle people. Anyway kung ano pa man yan anak, always know that I'm here to support you from whatever you do." She gently held my face and gave me an assuring smile.

I thank God everyday for her. My mother is so full of wisdom. I always wanted to be like her because even though I was raised in a broke home, she never once let me feel that I'm unloved.

Kahit kailan, hindi ko naramdaman ang pagkukulang sa family namin. Yes, my Dad is now living with his new found family in the US but we still communicate. Mom and Dad also have meetups here and there lalo na if it concerns my well-being.

Yung family naman ni Dad ay very welcoming. Tita Jasmin, my Dad's new wife, treated me as if I'm her own. I always pay them a visit mostly during vacation because I like taking good care of my little brother, Charles.
