Dear Ms. Naomi Hermosa,

Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am resigning from my position as Assistant Design Editor.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to work in this position for the past two years. I am beyond grateful to be part of this team. I've learned a lot, not only in terms of the design process but also because my work experience has expanded my skills and capabilities, which I will certainly take with me throughout my career.

The layout for the December issue was already done, and I'm willing to submit all that I've accomplished to Miss Hazel Sarabia. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help during this transition.

I wish the company continued success, and I hope to stay in touch in the future.

While rereading the letter I made last night, bigla akong napasandal sa upuan at napapikit ng mata. I guess this is it.

This will be my first step.

"M-a-w" Nilambing ako ni Ollie habang nakasandal sa may hita ko.

I stroked her furry hair as my other hand closed the laptop. Pagkatapos ay kinuha ko siya at hinarap sa'kin.

"I swear Ollie... I really want to keep you." Napasinghap ako.

"But you belong to her."

I've tried various stratagems to get Ollie into the carrier but she's too lazy to even move. Tila ba nagpapahiwatig na ayaw niya pang umalis. Mas lalo akong nahirapan.

What seemed to be a day off had turned into a week of absence. I received tons of messages from Edmerson asking if I was okay. Hindi ko na muna siya sinagot.

Akala ko tatadtarin ako ng salita dahil sa posibleng tambak na gagawin sa trabaho pero ni-isa ay wala itong sinabi. Kahit si Carmela ay hindi nagparamdam ng kahit anong senyales ng galit mula sa editor namin.

I spent one whole week with Ollie, and I just let her take the time that she needed because I didn't want to make her feel like I forced her to leave me.

I brought her to our family dinner, and Ate Amara liked Ollie so much that she even asked me if she could keep her. Bukod sa hindi ko pwedeng gawin 'yon ay hindi rin pumayag si kuya Ali dahil may allergy ito sa pusa.

Sa pagpunta sa coffee shop ay kasama ko rin siya, buti nalang ay pet-friendly ang madalas kong tinatambayan. Kahapon din ay pinasyal ko siya at hinayaang magliwaliw sa hardin ng gusaling tinitirhan ko.

Ollie seemed old enough to take a long walk kaya nauwi kami sa park bench habang hinihintay ang paglubog ng araw.

Besides that, I also spent a whole week thinking of ways to help myself and considering taking a different approach to things. The first question that went into my mind was, How will I cut off any possible contact with her?

Mahirap para sa akin dahil siya ang boss ko ngayon. We're working for the same company and we're breathing the same air every day. Hindi pa nakakatulong na lagi kong nakikita silang dalawa ni Gavin na magkasama.
