Wonu

School has been busy recently due to finals and assignments, so Seo Hyeon and I haven't really found the time to spend time together- not to mention that I had to do some major budgeting, so I couldn't even take her out when I wanted to.

She doesn't mind more simple dates at my dorm, but I know for a fact that Seungcheol is not happy that he gets either kicked out or is stuck in his room whenever we have our dates.

With that, she came up with a solution that could have me earn some money and we get to spend time with each other between classes: I start working in the library.

I was more than happy to apply for the job, and thanks to getting referrals from both Seo Hyeon and Seungcheol- who also worked at the library and I never knew, I was hired immediately.

I was shown around and instructed by Mrs. Do on how to return backs to their shelves, how to sign out books, and sending out reminders to students when a books return date is coming up.

After I got shown the ropes, I was scheduled regularly to work with Seo Hyeon for the rest of the semester. The first time she and I locked up the library after campus closed for the night, she took me to the corner where we first met and kissed me before we had to leave. After that? We would always volunteer to close up the library after campus closed... Well, until Mrs. Do caught on to what were were doing- sort of; she thought we did much worse.

Other than that, life was becoming so much better with her. Although I was worried that I would be seen as too clingy or as someone weighing her down, she always reminds me that I've made her life better like how she's been bettering mine. Though things got a bit... complicated for us when it came to me finally meeting her parents.

Despite being polite and doing my best to impress her parents, it was obvious that they weren't too fond of me from the moment I walked through their door. Her mother didn't even try to be subtle about how much she despised me. At every attempt I made to start a conversation with either of her parents, I was only met with one word answers and a monotone voice.

It made sense that they would treat me this way, her family was well off. Her parents are probably furious finding out that their daughter was dating someone who's part of the working class, although that didn't mean it hurt any less. Seo Hyeon was slowly becoming more and more upset with their attitude, and without warning it all escalated into a shouting match between her and her parents.

Her father began yelling about how he's had a whole list of candidates full of 'good men' to date (according to him and her mother) and how he always held his tongue whenever she declined a date with any of them. Her mother then jumped in to yell about how disappointed they both were for choosing to date a low-class man with a useless job.

Seo Hyeon stood her ground while defending me from her parents, shouting about how their choices in men have no consideration for what she wants nor how she feels. The argument went on until her father gave an ultimatum: if Seo Hyeon breaks up with me right now and dates one of the men they choose, then she will continue to have their financial support. However if she continues to defy them and date me, then she'll get kicked out and disowned by them.

"IT'S EITHER US OR HIM." His voice boomed throughout the house, soon falling silent as they had a standoff.

I've never seen Seo Hyeon so enraged before, I was worried someone was going to get hurt. Though before it could get worse, she began taking deep breaths and closing her eyes to calm down. Once her eyes opened again, they were filled with a mix of anger and confidence.
