Wonu - Second year of college, 6 months later:

It may sound cheesy, but Seo Hyeon had become the best thing that's ever happened to me. Even before we dated and became an official couple, she was always so supportive of me. She always read and gave feedback on my short stories, gave me ideas, and always helped me find inspiration in moments where I had creative block or a lack of motivation.

She's always encouraged me to take that risky step forward, and although it doesn't always give me good results, I always have something to learn from it every time. And of course I always jump at the opportunity to be that support system for her too.

I'm always her go-to reference whenever she couldn't get a pose right or when she wants to practice drawing male anatomy, and she always asks me for an opinion for whatever project she was currently working on and seeing what she could fix from my perspective.

She would always cheer me on whenever I submitted my short stories to writing contests, and when it came to when she was applying to enroll in the school's program for 2D animation, I was hyping her up and telling her to go for it.

Neither of us would get a response from our respective applications, but we were always so confident in the other's talents that our own success didn't even matter.

Several months later, we both got the best news of our lives! She found out that she got accepted into the 2D animation program and that she'll be starting next spring, meanwhile the piece I submitted for a recent writing contest had gotten first place and was published onto the school's website as well as a physical copy had been made for the library. I also got money for winning, but who cares about that?
Later that night, we celebrated both of our accomplishments with some takeout, wine and a night in. We sat on the floor of my dorm living room, huddled up together to watch a movie without any interruptions.

(I may have used a bit of my prize money to pay my roommate, Seungcheol, to go out and let us have a night to ourselves in the dorm)

Halfway through our meal, she was still in awe about the short story I wrote winning as well as her slowly getting closer towards her dreams of becoming an animator.

"Can you believe it, Wonu?" She was kicking with excitement "I knew your piece would win! And it's such a beautiful story, too!"

"I can believe it, because I knew the animation program would accept you. They would've been stupid not to." I say while casually praising her "Your success is just as amazing."

She blushes as she leans on me "This is only the beginning for me, and today had been the best day of our lives so far!"

I then turn my body to wrap my arms around her and snuggle my face into her neck, quietly muttering "The best day of my life was when I met you, love."

She laughs as she swats my arm a few times "You're so cheesy, you dork."

I roll my eyes as I pull back to look at her "Oh please, this cheesy dork has charm is what won you over."

I then flash a toothy grin while pointing my thumb at me, as she lets out a huff while smiling before leaning in to whisper "You're absolutely correct."

The gap closes between us and we share a sweet kiss. Once we finally pulled away from each other, she then refills both of our cups with a little bit of wine before raising a toast.

"Here's to the best day of our life." She says as she holds her cup up I'm front of her.
I then raise my own cup and hold it next to hers as I add on to her sentence "And here's to many more best days to come."

She smiles as my words and we both down our wine.

Then out of nowhere, she places a peck on my cheek before whispering "I love you, my cuddly sloth." And leaning her head on top of my shoulder.

"And I love you, my beloved book worm." I whisper back as I lean my head on top of hers.

We fell asleep like that and were woken up by Seungcheol in the morning, who began nagging us to clean up before going to bed properly.

Once we were properly in my bed, we snuggled up and decided that it was ultimately a sleep-in kind of day.

Good to see most of it is falling into place quite nicely. I then thought about the story that supposedly won that contest.

I wonder what that story was? Was it something I've seen before?

Alongside that one specific story, I began to wonder: what does Seo Hyeon's art looks like?

Dad says her art was amazing, and I'm really eager to see what kind of art she made. Maybe it's somewhere in the house? Or maybe I can find it online?
Without thinking I already had my laptop open and I began searching every source I could think of.

Hoo boy, I didn't expect it to get like this.

The rabbit hole happened to be deeper than I had anticipated, but I'm more than happy to jump in and learn more.
