Wonu - Gap semester, 3 months later:

"Babe, come on!" Seo Hyeon says as she's dragging me by the wrist all the way up the stairs to the rooftop of our apartment building "We're going to miss it if you keep going that slow!"

"I'm doing the best I can my love, but please remember that I just got back from work." I heave out a laboured breath as I remind her.

"Oh! Right, sorry." She apologizes as she slows down her pace, yet still eagerly pulling me up the stairs "I'm just so excited because golden hour is almost over and I really want to experience it with you."

I smiled at her excitement; she was also so thrilled about things I barely gave a second thought to, and the thought of us spending this moment together fueled me to continue running up the stairs with her.

Finally reaching the rooftop, we were met with a vibrant orange sky with hints of pinks and purples among the clouds. It was a really breathtaking sight to take in. Grabbing her DSLR camera from her bag, she hands it off to me and tells me to take as many pictures as I could or the skyline and other pretty views while she ran towards the railing to take pictures on her phone.

Taking her camera, I gladly went around the rooftop taking pictures of the sunset itself, the sky, the skyline, other buildings, and my favourite view of all: her.

While she wasn't looking and focused on the sky itself, I decided to take the opportunity to get as many candid photos of her as I could. Though I ended up getting too distracted by her that she caught me pointing the camera at her.

"Hey!" She calls out before running over to me, pouting as she crosses her arms "Babe, you're supposed to take pictures of the sunset and skyline! Y'know, pretty views?"

I shrug in response while chuckling at her cute expression "I know, but I couldn't help it! You just glowed so beautifully in the light and I couldn't resist." I then lean down so that our faces in front of each other as I take her chin in my hand and whisper to her "Besides, the beauty of the city skyline could never compete with you. And even if it did, you would always come out on top."

Flustered, she lightly shoves at me for such a cheesy line and saying that it was too much. Though I could tell from the blush she's trying to hide that she loved it.

As golden hour ended and the sun went down, we sat and watched while talking about whatever came to mind. I now understood who she loved doing things like this, it's nice to watch when you're with someone you love, and I'm more than happy that we went along with this.

Once night fell, we went back down the stairs to our apartment. She set her camera on the coffee table and picked up a stack of papers she was reading when I came back from work earlier.

Meanwhile I head into our kitchen and made some hot chocolate for both of us. Popping my head into the living room, I saw she was really enthralled with whatever she was reading. Walking over and leaning down to see what she was reading, I noticed that it was my short story from all that time ago and she was reading it again.

"You really like reading that, huh?"

"It's a really good story! I like it a lot. I could read it forever if I could." She gushes as she flips a page "This would also be a great book series that you could elaborate on too!"

I then scratch my neck, blushing at her praise "You really think so?"

"I know so! Then again, I might be biased because I also really admire the author too, but don't tell him that." she then lowers the pages to wink at me, and I couldn't help but swoon.
