The warriors may have had a day off to rest but on a day like today I could do nothing of the sorts. I needed to run, I tried to keep in human form as long as possible before allowing my wolf to take over my body. She had been on edge all week and although my semester was coming to an end she seemed to be off due to something else. Summer was nearing and I was stressed for upcoming exams, my grades were high and I was hoping to receive a scholarship to do some travel for my final two semesters of my undergrad. I loved my sister and Jax dearly but they needed their space back to further their relationship and have pups.
When they first became mates they were fresh out of high school and chose to take things slow, I think Lindsay was trying to maintain the same type of traditional relationship that our parents had. It took a long time for my dad to be even close to my mom, especially after she figured out about his wolf. Linds 'dated' him for years, but things changed a lot over this past year when Jax asked her to marry him. In our world marriage with the big ceremony is not something that is a normal occurrence however Linds loved the excuse to get all dressed up in a big white dress and celebrate with all our friends and Jax's family. My sister's biggest dream is to be a mom but I need to help shuttle this situation a bit faster as there has been so much going on, Jax has been preoccupied with doing work for Alpha Nathan as his right hand man due to the increase rogue activity in the surrounding packs and Linds has been craving that from her mate. I'm not supposed to know but I know they have started trying to have kids and my sister had been getting pretty beat down with the negative tests they had been receiving. My sister worried about me often and by my travelling it may be able to settle her a bit.
Living in the mountains had it perks, I took back some control from my wolf so that I was able to redirect us to a hiking trail. I let my animalistic side take back over, enjoying her freedom she growled at some of the smaller animals in the woods, enjoying chasing some squirells. As we neared the peak of the mountain I shifted back into human form, I wanted to walk in barefoot for the last few steps to see the view. The terrain was tough on my feet but I held no concern for it when I saw my surroundings. Laying on the warming rocks from the near summer sun I took advantage of being able to map out the different areas of the pack even able to still pick up some of their scents from carrying wind. Noting some of the cool water lakes in the surrounding I began my descent in wolf form down the hill, practicing my continuous use of masking my scent especially for longer periods of time.
I was able to shift back to human form once I was closer to the pack houses, even taking advantage of the baskets of clothes they left around for people to wear after a shift. Grabbing sweats and a loose tee I decided to make a few stops through the village instead of going straight home. Seeing some of the younger children at the playground I was able to play a round of hide and seek with them before they got called off for dinner. To pay for school I had been doing a lot of work around the pack so I wouldn't have to do work in one of the local human towns, which included working at the doctors clinic. Racing clumsily in I hadn't even recognized anyone was in the facility until I was met by the Luna, barely missing running her over. She steadied my arms and laughed at my clumsiness with her two young pups looking up at my curiously from their stroller. "Well good afternoon Scar, I hope to hear of you having this type of excitement at the celebrations tonight! I appreciate you all going in place for Nathan and I, we just needed some down time to normalize a bit." I nodded my head half listening as I propelled myself over the counter rather than around it to reach the shift charts, filling my name in wherever was needed. "On second thought try to not get too wild, I don't want anybody getting hurt," she chuckled as she walked out the door whereas all I met from the doctor was disgusted scowl.
When I reached home I could feel the chaotic energy coming from inside before I saw it. Walking in there was many people bustling around, confused I looked for a more recognizable face. Finding Linds sitting on the couch with a bag of swedish berries, she looked completely relaxed completely opposite from her now spottable mate Jax who had one sock one and a ketchup stained shirt on. "What has someone put in the water since I left?" Popping a candy in my mouth and watching the drama to continue to unfold as the contents of a girls random bag of shoes flew across the living room floor.
