Anxiety

"hi, ms. adkins, you're needed in the costume trailer." samantha, her assistant, smiled as she peaked into lorelei's trailer.

"thank you, samantha, and please call me lorelei." lorelei smiled as she stood up and walked to the door. samantha nodded as lorelei stepped out and shut the trailer door. lorelei headed towards the costume trailer while samantha headed to the main building.

in the distance, lorelei saw millie walk into the costume trailer. her face dropped. the last time she saw millie was when she told lorelei how much she hated her.

once lorelei reached the trailer, a wave of confidence hit her. she could do this. nothing stated that she had to talk to millie.

"lorelei! i'm glad you're here." holly smiled. holly, faith, and ivan were all over everyone's costumes.

"hi holly." lorelei smiled back. millie had already headed to the other side of the room with faith to change. "how's your morning been?"

"busy, as always. i'm sure you understand." holly smiled as she walked with lorelei to the costume racks.

"absolutely." lorelei laughed. stepping into the room, she saw gaten and ivan looking for gaten's costume.

"lorelei, hey." gaten smiled.

"hi." lorelei smiled back, only being polite. gaten hadn't talked to her since the millie incident and she couldn't tell if he didn't like her or was too scared to talk to her.

"ah, here it is! we have to hurry. you have to be on set in 30 minutes." holly smiled as she pulled out the costume. gaten and lorelei waved bye as lorelei walked towards the dressing room with holly and her costume.

lorelei quickly changed, got her outfit adjusted, and walked towards the hair and makeup trailer. she walked as quick as she could since she had very little time. she barely even noticed her castmates walking past her.

"rory!" that familiar voice yelled.

"noah!" lorelei smiled as she saw noah standing at the door for hair and makeup. she ran to him and quickly kissed his lips before heading inside.

"lorelei! there you are!" ryan smiled as he saw lorelei walk in. "we have 20 minutes to get you prepared. please, sit."

"sorry. i wasn't told to go to costume until later than i should've." lorelei smiled.

"we have just enough time to get things done." ryan said as he concentrated on fixing her hair. noah giggled at the two as he sat down beside lorelei.

"are you here to get your hair done, bowl cut boy?" lorelei asked, trying not to laugh.

"yeah, it'll make me look even better than i already do." noah said with the most sarcastic tone to ever exist.

"absolutely gorgeous." lorelei rolled her eyes and let her smile break through.

"i can't believe filmings almost over." ryan said as he messed with lorelei's hair.

"i know it went by so fast. i can't believe we'll be done in january." lorelei stated. it was only november, but january wasn't too far away.

"ryan? is lorelei almost finished? we need her soon, please."

"hey! lorelei!" someone yelled from behind her. she could hear them coming closer through the gravel. lorelei turned to see gaten catching up to her.

"gaten, hi." lorelei smiled slightly.

"i'm so sorry. i haven't gotten the chance to talk to you. how are you? after... you know." gaten asked, referring to the millie incident.

"i'm better than i was. that kind of hurt, but i'm ok now." lorelei replied. they were now walking side by side toward the costume trailer. "and you?"

"i'm good." gaten smiled. "look, i just wanted to say that i think that what millie did was so wrong and i'm really sorry i haven't talked to you sooner. i talked to caleb and he told me to wait a few weeks before talking to you so you could calm yourself. i promise i would never think those things of you." he added before they stopped in front of the costume trailer.

"i forgive you. caleb's right, though. i'm glad you waited because i definitely wouldn't have been open to company." lorelei laughed before gaten pulled her into a hug.

"thank you. it means a lot." gaten said after they had pulled away from the hug.

"i'll see you later?" lorelei asked and gaten nodded before walking next door to his own trailer.

"did gaten talk to you, too?" lorelei asked as soon as she got in the car.

"yeah. i'm glad he doesn't agree with millie. i'm not surprised either. gaten's always been super nice with everyone he meets." noah smiled, cranking the car and checking his mirrors.

"i'm glad, too. i've always liked gaten." lorelei smiled back.

"more than me?" noah joked as he backed out of his parking space.

"yes. absolutely." lorelei joked back as noah rolled his eyes and exited the property. 

"i'm exhausted." noah said.

"me, too, no." lorelei replied with the nickname she had learned after hearing chloe using it.

"do you wanna watch a movie in my room when we get home?" noah asked, grabbing lorelei's hand and intertwining their fingers.

"of course."
