Anxiety

a few more weeks left to go and lorelei finally got to meet her baby girl. since she got pregnant right before her birthday, she was now 19. sadie, caleb, gaten, and noah had all come to her house for her birthday. well, her sisters house. lorelei moved out of her sisters house a few months ago. when the baby was born, sadie would move in for a little while until lorelei could handle things on her own.

"any names yet?" quinn asked as she drove lorelei to her doctors appointment. today was her 9 month mark and the doctor would probably let her know if the baby would come soon or in a few weeks.

"i'm still stuck between jade and eden." lorelei said. "i'll know either before or when she's born."

"do you have middle names picked out?" the older woman continued to ask.

"yes, but those are secret for now." lorelei smiled at her older sister as they pulled into the parking garage.

"how are you and noah?" quinn continued with an eye roll.

"i told you there's nothing there, q." lorelei denied, but even her fans knew they still loved each other. they just wouldn't admit it to themselves.

"there obviously is or you wouldn't be blushing." quinn laughed. "and don't say i do that with everyone because when i asked about gaten or caleb your face did not turn red at all."

"whatever." lorelei groaned. as if on cue, noah texted her.

"there's nothing there, quinn! i promise!" quinn mocked her little sister as she saw the conversation between the two.

"ok, maybe there is a little something, but it's not huge." lorelei tried not to smile as they sat in the waiting room.

"yeah, just tell me about it when you have hot pregnancy sex next week." quinn teased. lorelei's jaw dropped.

"quinn." lorelei slapped her sister as quinn just laughed.

"ms. adkins?" the nurse said from the door. lorelei and quinn got up before following the nurse to the back.

a week later, noah arrived in baltimore. they immediately got in lorelei's car and drove to ikea. well, noah drove. lorelei had only drove in the past 9 months when she needed to.

"have you got the name yet?" noah asked as they walked towards the nursery section.

"i'm announcing it at the baby shower." lorelei smiled at him as she waddled beside him. "my doctor told me she could come any day now."

"wait, seriously?" noah was shocked. it felt like her pregnancy had flown by. lorelei nodded with a smile. "but i wanna know the name now." noah added.

"no! it's a surprise!" lorelei teased as they found the nursery furniture.

"please! just the middle name?" noah begged as lorelei started looking at the different set ups.

"no because you're the only one that knows the middle names i picked out." lorelei laughed.

"ugh, fine." noah groaned before following lorelei to the next set of furniture.

they easily picked out and loaded the nursery furniture into lorelei's car before heading back to lorelei's house. they had both forgotten how amazing it was to hangout with each other alone. they felt safe. they always had fun together.

"i missed you." lorelei blurted out, her face turning red as soon as she said it.

"i missed you too." noah smiled over at her before grabbing her hand and interlocking their fingers. lorelei didn't mind, but any other time before she would've. she didn't want to accept the fact that she still loved noah. it scared the shit out of her, but she let it happen. there was no turning back now.

"noah?" lorelei asked and noah just nodded for her to continue. "don't freak out, ok?" he nodded again. "i still love you."

noah didn't say anything. he was in shock. he loved her, too, but he didn't think they would admit it right now.

"shit, i'm sorry. i didn't mean to-" lorelei started as soon as noah stopped at a red light. before she could say anything else, noah kissed her. he kissed her like he would never get to kiss her again.

"i still love you. i missed you so much. when we broke up it was like my life had no purpose anymore. i felt like everything important to me was gone." noah explained as he started to drive again.

"i don't know why i broke up with you. i don't think i even knew at the time why i was breaking up with you. when i found jackson i knew it wasn't the same, but i still loved him. he just didn't love me enough." lorelei responded. they were still holding hands and noah brought her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it.

"i'll never let anyone hurt you again."

noah and lorelei were cuddled up on the couch watching hercules. they had ate dinner and noah brought all the furniture in. he sat it in the nursery which would be set up by the end of the week.

"i'll be right back." lorelei smiled as she stood up and started walking to the bathroom. before she could get there, water hit the floor.

"what was that?!" noah asked, looking over at lorelei.

"i think my water just broke."
