I see wolves on both sides of us as we drive up a steep driveway to get in. I stand at the gate and start to walk in throwing people across the place protecting myself from the wolves as they charge at me. Stopping just before the porch and I start to yell for shadow. "SHADOW! I KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE! COME OUT!" nothing he doesn't come out. I didn't have a wolf but the way I was stalking Shadows porch walking back and forth seemed like I was a wolf. Damon tries to pull me away but I push him back a couple of feet and put a barrier with my mind to keep him away from me. Something I learned training with Shima recently. "Sid you can't just walk onto someone else's territory and demand to see the alpha. This isn't how things work here."
I turn to look at him giving him a look and he throws his hands up backing up slowly. I see the wolves and they do the same after looking at me.
"SHADOW YOU PIECE OF SHIT! GET OUT HERE!!" I yell again and still nothing. "YOU HAVE TILL THE COUNT OF THREE AND IF YOU ARE NOT OUT HERE I"LL BUST THE DOORS DOWN!"
still no answer I can hear Damon pacing behind me from beyond the barrier. "1, 2, 3!" I decide I've had enough and I walk up to the doors kicking them in with everything and stand there watching as the doors open. Shadow comes running out looking at me slightly terrified at the sight of me." WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?" he yells at me from the porch." Where is my sister Shadow?" I say in a low menacing tone.
"She's sleeping you psycho!" He says pointing inside the house. "I don't believe you. you wanna know why I don't believe you Shadow?"
"Fine I'll bite why?" he says in a cocky tone. " My sister and I are connected powerful on our own yes but even more so when are together. If she's sick guess who else gets sick?" I say slowly walking up to the porch. Shadows eyes go wide for a second. "So Tara has a cold right now. No big deal."
"No Shadow when she's sick or mentally hurting he abilities go haywire killing everything she's grown," I say looking around at all the dead flowers around the property. Damon looks and sees that everything is rotting the trees too. Shadows eyes widen more. "When she's really not doing well she starts to kill everything living around her," I say gesturing to all the dying plants and trees everywhere. Shadow looks at me like I'm exaggerating. "Where is she Shadow?" I look at him I feel my body lifting from the ground slightly and this makes Shadow jump back to the door standing guard. I move to the porch stepping down, Shadow moves forward trying to push me off the edge and I use my powers to throw him towards Damon, only he hits the barrier I put up. "Dude, what the fuck is this? Control your girl," he tells Damon growling through his teeth Damon growls back at him.
"It doesn't work like that and you know it. They are here to help us control our wolves not us control them. I couldn't help even if I wanted to she put up this barrier to prevent me from interfering." I hear them yelling at each other as I walk into the house trying to look for Tara. I try to see her aura but nothing shows up now meaning she was getting worse. I walk through the house when I see a little boy. He has dark brown hair and tan skin and looked like he was 5 years old. I was hiding under the table when I walked in. I walked over bending down to be eye level with him and calmed myself enough to talk to him so I wouldn't scare him. "Hi my name is Xedna but you can call me Sid. Do you know where Tara is?" I ask him cautiously he looked afraid of me. I didn't mean to scare him. "It's alright I'm not going to hurt anyone I'm just here to find my sister. You see she's really sick and she can only be healed by me. Can you help me find her?" the boy looks at me and then his hands thinking if it's ok to trust me. After a moment he shakes his head getting up from under the table and leads me to a door and doesn't move anymore. "Is she in here?" I say looking at the boy confused. He just nods and stands as I open the door Bright fluorescents turn on as I walk down the hall. My footsteps echo off the concrete floor and walls.
"Tara are you down here?" I yell down the hall on each side of me are cages that are empty as I walk further down. " Is this a trap? Tara! I need you to speak for me or make a noise." I say, I continue walking when I hear the smallest whisper of my name being called and I run to it. In the very last cell I see Tara on the floor she looks paler and thinner than her usual curves she looked like a twig. I use my powers again and bend the bars to the sides and step in picking her up and carrying her out of this shit hole. When I near the door I can hear a kid screaming and what sounds like Shadow beating the kid that helped me. I rush out as fast as I can and push shadow off of the boy. "NO!" I yell shadow looks at me r\with hate in his eyes ready to hurt me. I removed the barrier for Damon and put it around Shadow to prevent him from hurting us. I lean down and tell the boy he's alright and to go find his parents and he runs out the door. I walk out of the house with Tara as Shadow is yelling at me for "taking what is his". Damon came rushing to the porch when he saw me and I pass Tara over to him and he looks at me shocked at the state my sister was in. " I know. Just Take her to the van I'll protect you keeping a barrier around you guys won't get hurt." Damon nods at my request and starts taking Tara when I walk with them I put the barrier around them and as soon as I did Shadow came charging after me. I turn around throwing him across his pack grounds He catches himself landing on his feet and charging at me again. This time he reaches me and grabs me by the neck. Damon sees this and hands, Tara, over to Victor running after me turning into his wolf charging after Shadow he bites into his leg not enough to cause damage but enough to make him let me go. I fall to the floor coughing and gasping for air. when I look up at Shadow. "Shit," he says looking at me as if he actually shit his pants. Damon's wolf Backs up from me giving me space. I stand up walking to Shadow and punch him in the face causing a nose bleed. I punch him again in his ribs and his gut and with every punch, I'm yelling at him. " Did you really think you could get away with hurting her?
How dare you hurt someone the moon goddess blessed you with!" I stop hitting him taking a few steps away from him trying to catch my breath. " If you come near her without permission from Tara herself I will kill you. That is not a threat it's a promise." I say looking Shadow in the eyes He still looks scared shitless. Damon shifts back into his human form walking up to me he turns me to face him. " Sid you need to calm down. Your sister needs you right now. I need you to make your white eyes go away and show me your pretty green eyes again please." He says soothingly rubbing circles in my back and kissing my forehead. I close my eyes taking a deep breath my head sinks. When I open my eyes again I'm looking at Damon's naked body and jump back. "Put clothes on!" I say looking away feeling my face turn ten shades of red with embarrassment. he was hugging me naked.
"I have clothes in the saddlebag of my bike can you get them out for me and I'll dress at the bike." I agree and take one last look at Shadow on the floor he was mostly healed with blood all over him, giving him one last death stare I leave to the bike. I hear Damon talking to Shadow as I walk away. " I'm not sorry for the ass whooping she gave. I'm actually sad I didn't get to do it myself. I don't know how you sleep at night. If it weren't for Sid telling me the signs I would have never believed her. You know they're not normal Shadow they have a greater responsibility as well as being luna. As of today, you are not allowed back to Iron river until we can work this out. When Tara is healed I will send for you to come and Tara will decide what happens with you and her from there... I can't believe you would do this!" and with that, he runs back to his bike where I am facing the other direction until he tells me he's dressed. Arriving at Iron river we take Tara to my old room and put her into the bed and Damon mind links for the pack doctor. She puts an IV fluid line up and gives her something for her pain which knocks her out and she's in a deep sleep. That night I slept in the chair next to her bed and Damon joins me holding my hand.
