I let out a laugh as I watched Bolin juggle three balls. He accidentally dropped them and they landed on his head. I covered my mouth to stop myself from laughing and he sent me a frown.

"Listen here young lady, you are not allowed to not laugh at my suffering." Bolin said sternly.

"My bad, I will make sure to laugh more." I said playfully.

"You better, I don't get hurt for nothing." He said before turning and running into a door.

I burst out laughing and was forced to hold my stomach.

"Okay... that.. I did on purpose." He said as he rubbed his head.

I saw a bump and smiled as I looked it over. I gently leaned up and placed a small kiss on it.

"There should be better, now." I said with a small smile.

I saw a blush appear on his face and I shook my head. His smile soon got wider and he touched his cheek.

"So much better. You keep kissing my boo boos and I'm gonna keep running into stuff." He said playfully.

"I might just have Mako kiss your boo boos." I said with a laugh.

"And here I thought we had something special." He said with a laugh.

"I'm only talking to you because of Pabu." I said as the ferret's head poked out of his shirt.

"I'm hurt!" He exclaimed in mock sadness.

We continued to walk around town and Bolin frowned softly.

"So, your parents must be proud you are friends with the avatar." Bolin said softly.

"Father is... don't know how my mother feels about it though.. she hasn't spoken to me since we learned I couldn't bend." I said softly.

"I'm sorry." He said as he looked at me.

"Don't be. Her loss, what about you? What do your parents think about you being a pro bender?"

He looked away and I reality hit me.

"I am so sorry, I didn't-"

"It's okay. They where killed by a mugging gone wrong. Just been me and Mako... and Pabu." He said as he pet his head.

"I'm sorry, I guess that explains why Mako is so protective of you." I said softly.

"Yea, so what's the South Pole like?"

"Cold... boring."

"Sounds like you don't like it there."

"Not at all. Republic city it so much better. It's nice and warm." I said as we walked down the street.

"I'm glad you are here. You're very easy to talk to."

"Have to be with Korra."

He sent me a smile and we stopped at a shop. There was jewelry and I saw a small pendant. The pendant was blue with a blue choker.

"Wow, this is beautiful." I said softly.

"How much is it?" Bolin asked softly.

"Seven Yen." I said as I put it back.

"Why is it blank?"

"You draw on it yourself and give it to your special someone, it's a betrothal necklace." I explained.

He nodded his head and looked it over. He placed it back down and then we left.

"Well, I guess I have to go. I need to make sure Korra isn't arguing with Tenzin."

"We should do this again." Bolin said with a smile.

"Totally." I said before turning and walking away.

"Let me walk you home!" He yelled as he ran up to me.

I shook my head and smiled as he walked beside me. We soon made it to the edge of the river and I moved my hair from my face.

"Looks like the boat just left, I'll have to wait awhile." I said softly.

"No you won't." He said as he bended the earth under us.

I let out a squeak and held onto him.

"I got you." He said softly.

We soon landed on the island and he let go of me.

"That... was fun." I said with a small smile.

"Yea, So... nice place." He said as he looked around.

"Yea... it's amazing." I said as I looked up at the temple.

I looked back at Bolin and moved my hair away from my face.

"Um... I should go."

"Are you free next week?" He asked quickly.

"I should be." I said with a small smile.

"Want to go out again?"

"I'd love to." I said as I turned and walked away.

I heard a yell of excitement and I shook my head and continued inside.

"How was your date?" Korra asked as she walked beside me.

"It wasn't a date."

"Did you have fun?"

"Yes, and we are hanging out again next week." I said softly.

"Tenzin! Kari has a boyfriend!" Korra yelled as she ran inside.

"Korra! I do not!" I yelled as I ran after her.
