I walked with a bounce in my step wearing my lucky overalls to room nine of Ridgewood High.  My overalls had a big splat of red paint on them, but that's what made them lucky.  I found room nine and read the door that said "Mrs. Wilson".  I walked through the overly decorated door and saw another girl who was already there.  I was hoping to impress Mrs. Wilson by being the first one here, but that dang girl ruined it.  The girl had a big pimple right at the end of her nose that made her look like Rudolph.  She walked over to me with her head held high.  "Hi, my name is Penelope Grace Miller" the snotty girl said.  "You probably already know my father" she stared at my face, looking for expression.  "He owns the Miller Oil and Gas Company" she said, like she expected me to know whoever her "famous" father was.  "Oh! That Jerk?, I thought he died from obesity years ago!" I said as I laughed at my own remark.

I sat down in my seat with my hands folded all nice for Mrs. Wilson.  "Welcome 6th graders!" Mrs. Wilson said and threw her arms into the air.  "What's your name, honey" she looked straight into my pupils with her lips pursed.  "Uh, I'm Josie but my brother calls me JoJo and my Mama used to call me Josie Pie."  Mrs. Wilson raised her eyebrows and nodded her head like she totally understood.  Penelope narrowed her eyes and gave me a sly smile. "Excuse me...JoJo" she made quotation marks with her perfectly manicured hands when she said "JoJo." Now her face was right next to mine.  "I couldn't help but to notice your ugly face seems to have gotten uglier since your walked in the door" she smiled.  "Congrats, Miss Josie Pie!" she spit on my face whenever she talked.  Then she went back to her seat, and folded her hands... just like mine.

Eventually the whole class arrived in their first day of school outfits.  The startling bell rang, and I walked with my head down out the door as quickly as possible. "Hey Josie!" Penelope yelled.  "Can I see your schedule."  "Ok" I said, afraid to say anything else.  Maybe she wanted to see how many of the classes we DIDN'T have together.  "Have fun in...room 204" she fake smiled.  Then she ripped my schedule vigorously and threw in right in my face.  "Don't go to the bathroom to often." she said.  I had a angered look on my face.  "We don't want your ugly face breaking too many mirrors." she laughed, and skipped happily down the hall.  Hot tears formed in my eyes.  This was going to be a tough year.
