Today is the day.
The day that two individuals will start a new chapter of their lives.
The day that they will tie the knot.
They spent a lot of time to ensure that their dream wedding will happen. From the church up to the reception, they didn't let any single detail pass in order to accomplish their motive.
A young man stood from afar, hands trembling. The excitement must have gotten into him as he felt his forehead drenched in sweat.
If anyone will see him, they'll perceive him as a benevolent being. Little did they know, he used to be ruthless. His eyes were once filled with abhor, his mouth which only spoke obscenities.
Until she came.
Billie.
A name that sounded so manly yet her femininity conquered such stigma. He fell for her charismatic eyes, stunning figure, and optimistic state.
He did not want to believe in love but she proved him that he's worthy to love and to be loved.
He had always dreamt of marrying her, of building a family with her, and growing old with her.
And now, he couldn't help but become teary eyed upon the idea of starting another chapter of his life which includes her.
Finally, she'll be Mrs. Lee.
She'll be mine.
"Yuan!"
A deep voice woke him up from his senses as he turned his head, seeing Ethan who's wearing a gray ensemble. With a cheesy smile plastered to his plump lips, anyone could fall for him. Ethan tapped the latter's tensed shoulder with a soft chuckle, "Mukhang ninenerbyos ka ha."
Yuan tried his best not to smile upon hearing his pal's statement.
Ethan was the first person who witnessed all of the breakthroughs that had occurred before his relationship with Billie has bloomed. And now, he stood right next to him, representing himself as the latter's best man.
"Medyo kinakabahan nga ako. It still feels surreal, pre." Yuan couldn't help but utter, glee visible to the sound of his voice.
"Oo nga, halata sayo. Talagang nag-ahit ka pa eh." Ethan couldn't help but reply with a teasing smirk.
Yuan, known for his stubble, decided to shave with the hopes of looking presentable to his most awaited day. He shyly rubbed his chin and replied, "Sira. Kung ano ano ang napapansin mo."
Ethan laughed and pointed towards the left side of the church, seeing two men waving from the distance. "Napansin din kasi nila Jai at Andoy. Mukhang ready ka na raw sa honeymoon kaya you decided to shave."
Yuan couldn't help but rub his palm over his face, cheeks blazing in red. Ethan found himself chuckling upon the latter's reaction.
Knowing Yuan, he rarely blushes. When he does, it's probably because of embarrassment or being eaten by guilt. By the looks of it, he looks like he's embarrassed and guilty at the same time.
"Kayo talaga, puro kalokohan alam niyo." Yuan couldn't help but reply with gritted teeth.
"Loosen up, Yuan. This is your wedding, anyway. Masyado kang tensed eh." Ethan replied, still laughing. "Shut your mouth. In that way, it'll help me loosen up." Yuan scoffed.
"Oh, lumalabas nanaman sungay mo." Ethan replied, raising his hands in defense. "Chill, bro. Now's not the time for you to act that way. Be dominant nalang sa honeymoon niyo-"
