Ximen pulled up to his house, Jihyun was asleep in the passenger seat of his car. He looked at her and smiled softly. The others had gone to Si's house to gather more information on the fan club's members while Ximen said he would take Jihyun home and look after her there. Ximen got out of the car and walked around to the passenger side. He opened the door, took of Jihyun's seatbelt and picked her up, closing the door behind him. Ximen carried Jihyun to the front door of his house where he was greeted by one of the staff. He saw the solemn look on the staff member's face a knew that his father was home. Ximen walked through the front door with Jihyun in his arms. His father was standing in the front foyer waiting for him, and he did not look happy.
As Ximen walked through the door, Jihyun stirred a bit and opened her eyes. She looked up at Ximen and smiled softly before realizing that there was an older man looking at them. She squirmed quickly, making Ximen let go of her and she stood up straight. Ximen's father looked at the two then walked over to them, his stare unwavering. Jihyun looked to Ximen who was showing no form of expression on his face. Jihyun jumped slightly when she saw Mr Yan now standing right in front of her. The Korean idol found it difficult to look the man in the eye as she felt a bit intimidated. Ximen looked to his father "I thought you were out of town" Mr Yan looked at Ximen. He didn't say anything at first until he looked back at Jihyun and saw a gold pendant, that looked like a teacup, hanging around the idol's neck "Miss where did you get that pendant?" he asked her. Jihyun touched her necklace "One of my father's friends gave it to me on my thirteenth birthday" there was a hint of sadness in her smile. Mr Yan looked at the Korean idol "What is your name?" Ximen looked to Jihyun and then his father as Jihyun responded "I'm Lee Jihyun" her green eyes gleamed slightly as she spoke her name.
Mr Yan looked at Jihyun with wide eyes "You're Miss Jihyun?" he seemed surprised "You're the little Korean girl Li Wei adopted?" Jihyun looked a little confused "Did you know my father?" she tilted her head slightly "I am sorry, but I do not remember a lot from before I turned fourteen" Ximen looked at his father who showed a slight sadness when hearing about Jihyun not remembering her childhood. Mr Yan turned to Ximen "Did you meet Miss Lee at Ming De?" he asked his son. Ximen nodded "Jihyun and I met 3 months ago and... " his voice trailed off as he gently took Jihyun's hand in his. Mr Yan looked at the two surprised "How long has this being going on?" Jihyun went a bit red "Just over 2 months" she answered quietly. Mr Yan nodded slightly "I take it Miss Lee is the one who has moved into the guest room?" he asked Ximen who just nodded quietly. Mr Yan nodded slightly and then looked to Jihyun "Miss Lee, I hope you enjoy your stay here" he bowed slightly. Jihyun bowed in response and Mr Yan took his leave to his study.
Jihyun looked to Ximen as Mr Yan left "He knows me but not from my music career" she spoke softly "Does this mean we met before 3 months ago?" she asked. Ximen shrugged "I don't really know" the two of them walked up to Jihyun's room. The Korean idol looked to Ximen "I guess since your father is home, staying in my room would be out of the question" she laughs awkwardly. After realizing what she just said, Jihyun's face went bright red. Ximen noticed this and smiled softly "With my father being home, we can't make it seem like we are up to no good with each other" he softly brushed Jihyun's hair out of her face "will you be alright on your own?" his voice was now filled with concern. Jihyun smiled "I should be fine tonight" she stood on her toes and softly kissed Ximen's cheek, making the F4 member blush. Jihyun smiled when she saw Ximen blushing and she quickly went into her room.
Ximen stood outside of Jihyun's bedroom. His face was slightly red from blushing after the Korean idol has kissed his cheek. It was about five minutes before he snapped out of his trance and went to his room where he messaged the others to find out where they were going for the break that was approaching. Meizuo has messaged back saying that they were going to go to Korea for one week then Japan for the other. Ximen wondered if it was a good idea to take Jihyun to Korea as it might stir up emotional memories of her father but he thought it might also help her remember some of her childhood. Ximen told Meizuo that he would discuss it with Jihyun at dinner and then get back to him about it later. After sending the message, Ximen started studying while listening to Jihyun play her guitar through the wall separating their rooms.
A couple of hours went by and both Ximen and Jihyun were called down for dinner. For the last 2 months, Jihyun had only been used to eating dinner with Ximen so she felt a bit awkward eating with his father as well. Ximen was sitting across from Jihyun while his father sat between them at the head of the table. As the three of them ate, Ximen took the opportunity to mention the break that was approaching "The guys were thinking of going on another trip during the school break" he looked to his father and then to Jihyun "of course Shancai would be joining us as well as her friend, Xiaoyou" Jihyun had heard of Xiaoyou. She was someone who admired Ximen but she didn't actually like him in a romantic way. Jihyun smiled softly "What's the destination?" she asked. Ximen was a bit hesitant before he answered "Korea and then Japan." Hearing her birthplace made Jihyun freeze a bit. She put down her utensils and looked at Ximen "Do you want me to go with you?" her green eyes were filled with the hope that he would say yes. Ximen nodded "We were all hoping you would join us too" he smiled. The Korean idol smiled brightly and continued to eat. All the while Mr Yan watch the two young adults talk and act like they were just starting to realize that they liked each other. After about five more minutes, Jihyun stopped again "Oh" she bit her lip a bit "I won't be able to hang out with you and the others much for the next couple of weeks" she smiled a bit awkwardly "I have to rehearse for the university concert" Ximen nodded "I heard you are a vigorous rehearser" the Korean idol blushed and the three of them finished of their dinner before returning to their separate rooms and calling it a night.
