You're My Love Song - Ximen x OC(TEMPORARY PAUSE)

Chapter 5

Jihyun's eyes widened when she saw Ximen's house as they pulled into the driveway "Bloody hell Ximen. How big is your house?" her comment made everyone in the car laugh. Lei look back from the driver's seat of the car "Jihyun, you are an international star. You've lived in bigger places, haven't you?" Lei hadn't been to any of the places where Jihyun had lived "Well when I was in the Scorched Roses, we stayed in two-bedroom apartments, and when I split off on my own, I stayed in apartments similar to the one I was residing in just before" She responded casually as she opened the car door. Her response surprised the others, except Shancai in the passenger seat. The five of them got out of the car just as Si was pulling up on Jihyun's bike. Shancai hooked her arm around Si's once he got off the bike.

The six friends walked into Ximen's house. Jihyun looked a bit worried about staying at Ximen's place "Did you clear this with your father?" she asked. Ximen looked at Jihyun and smiled "My father is very rarely home these days" Hearing this made Jihyun even more nervous, but she hid it all too well. Ximen showed Jihyun to her room. The green-eyed young woman followed Ximen "If your father comes home, won't he be mad that I am here?" Jihyun knew she had suggested staying at Ximen's, but now she was feeling very nervous about it. Ximen stopped outside of the room Jihyun would be sleeping in "He only cares about whether or not I help with the tea company and tea ceremonies. He doesn't care about who I bring to the house since he is rarely here" Ximen opened the door to the room and lead Jihyun in.

Jihyun walked around the large room, and her green eyes widened with wonder "this room is huge!" she exclaimed. Ximen smiled from the door "this will be your room while you are staying here" Jihyun turned to Ximen "this room is bigger than my apartment" her smile then faded "where's your room? You aren't too far, are you?" her green eyes locked onto Ximen's brown ones "I'm right next door" he spoke softly. Jihyun smiled in relief "Sorry if I seem needy, I'm just not used to staying in large spaces" before Ximen could respond, Jihyun's phone started ringing. The Korean Idol looked at her phone "it's my agent" she looked a bit worried. She answered her phone, only to be met with screaming from her agent. Jihyun held the phone away from her hear as her agent kept shouting at her. When her agent finally calmed down, Jihyun put the phone next to her ear "Mrs Du; I can explain what happened" the green-eyed young woman looked upset, and this didn't sit well with Ximen. Jihyun's eyes widened all of a sudden "what do you mean he's pressed charges for assault? He attacked me and my friends" she looked to Ximen, who then disappeared to get the others.

About five minutes later, the four guys and Shancai were entering Jihyun's room. Shancai and Lei both walked over to Jihyun "what's going on?" Lei asked, "Ximen said something about Alex pressing charges" Jihyun looked at her friends; however, she didn't seem worried "Alex is trying to press charges against myself and Si" she smirked slightly "I have security footage of what happened. I have evidence. He doesn't" a sigh of relief washed over the room. Meizuo looked a bit puzzled still "How did Alex know you were at Ming De?" the room fell silent. Jihyun took out her phone and called her agent and put the call on speaker "Mrs Du, how did Alex know where I was?" everyone could hear Jihyun's agent stammer then admit to releasing the information to Alex's agent. Jihyun sighed "Mrs Du; you're fired. You breached your contract and meddled in my personal life" before the agent could respond, Jihyun hung up "I guess I need a new agent" she threw her phone onto the bed "I am not answering that thing anymore for today" she ran her hand through her hair and went over to her suitcases.

Everyone watched the young Korean woman unpack her suitcase, quite fast too. About ten minutes passed before Jihyun had finished unpacking. The last thing Jihyun took out of her suitcase was photograph. In the picture was Jihyun with an elderly Chinese man. She held the photo close to her chest as she walked over to her bedside table and set the photo down.  Jihyun turned to the others and smiled "I'm done" the members of F4 smiled and Shancai walked over to Jihyun and looked at the photograph "is that your father?" Jihyun nodded. Jihyun noticed the confused looks on everyone's faces "He adopted me when I was 5. He told me that he found me wandering the streets, so he took me in" absentmindedly, her hand went for the necklace she was wearing "He never hid from me that I am Korean or that I was adopted. He even took me back to Korea a few times" her smile faded. Jihyun's eyes started to water a bit, and Shancai places her hand on her shoulder "Jihyun... You don't have to tell us if it upsets you" Jihyun looked at Shancai and then to the others "I'm sorry... You are all putting up with the trouble I have caused, and now you are listening to a sob story" she bowed in apology. F4 walked over a joined the two young women. Meizuo smiled and put his hand on Jihyun's other shoulder "You don't need to apologize. Friends listen to each other when they are facing difficulties" Jihyun straightened up and looked at everyone. They were all smiling at her. Tears started to slip from Jihyun's eyes, and she smiled softly "I'm glad I came to Ming De" she looked to Lei "I'm glad you suggested I'd take a break from the spotlight" Lei bowed slightly. Ximen checked his watch "it's almost time for dinner. Si, didn't you and Shancai have dinner reservations?" The leader of F4 smiled "that we do. Shall we head off then Shancai?" Shancai smiled and took Si's hand "we'll see you guys tomorrow" the two waved and left. Meizuo said he was going on a date and left, so it was just Ximen and Jihyun, which made the Korean Idol very nervous.

Ximen and Jihyun sat across from each other at the dinner table. They were both very quiet as the maid brought over the food that had been prepared. Jihyun kept fiddling with the sleeves of her shirt and she was avoiding eye contact with Ximen. Naturally, Ximen noticed this and it made him smirk a bit "Are you that uncomfortable around me?" he asked. Jihyun looked at the brown-eyed young man "I'm not uncomfortable. I've just never stayed at a man's place before. I was always alone or with women" she laughed nervously. Jihyun looked at the extravagant dishes that were placed in front of them "Isn't this a bit excessive for just two people?" Ximen laughed slightly at Jihyun's question "I suppose it is. I didn't know what you liked, so I just asked them to prepare anything. You don't eat like this do you?" Jihyun smiled "I haven't had anything this extravagant since my last tour in America three years ago. However, since you have gone through all this trouble to accommodate me, the least I can do is be gracious about it. But..." she held up the glass in front of her, which had red wine in it "I don't drink" Ximen looked a bit surprised, "Lei told us about a few occasions where you have consumed a lot of alcohol" Jihyun laughed "Did he mention that I am a serious lightweight when it comes to alcohol. I don't drink because I can't handle it" Ximen nodded and had the maid replace the wine with juice. Ximen and Jihyun then enjoyed the quiet dinner between the two of them.

A few hours passed and Jihyun was laying on her bed. She had dozens of thoughts running through her head and she didn't know how to sort them out. It wasn't long before the Korean Idol began singing softly to herself before she slowly fell asleep. Meanwhile, Ximen was reading in his room and smiling softly as he heard Jihyun singing. When he couldn't hear her anymore, Ximen got up and went to Jihyun's room to check on her. When Jihyun didn't respond to his knocks, Ximen opened the door and found her asleep on her bed. He smiled and was about to close the door when he heard Jihyun softly whimpering. He went over to her bed and knelt down beside her. Ximen then realized that Jihyun was having a nightmare and he tried to wake her up. After a few minutes, he finally managed to wake up the Korean Idol, who was very shaken up from her nightmare "Ximen?" her voice was quiet. The F4 member looked at the frightened young woman "I'm here Jihyun" he spoke softly. Jihyun held onto Ximen's arm "C-can you stay in here tonight? I don't want to be alone" Ximen was hesitant at first, but seeing how shaken Jihyun was, he agreed to the two of them spent their first night together in the same bed.
