Jihyun stood on the stage, in one of the biggest arenas in China and waved to the thousands of people gathered before her. She had just finished her last song for the concert and now she was about to make an announcement. The red-haired, green-eyed young woman smiled brightly "Thank you all for coming out tonight" she tucked her long hair behind her ear as she spoke "I would love to continue singing for you but I do have an announcement that I need to make" the audience fell silent as the pop star continued speaking "As much as I loved singing for all of you these past ten years, I have decided to take a break from the spotlight and attend University. I will still be writing and releasing music, but I will not be making any appearances or doing any concerts until further notice. I hope you all understand and will still support me" there was a lot of gasping and disappointed sounds coming from the audience as Jihyun bowed and left the stage.

~Fast forward 6 months~

Jihyun pulled up to Ming De University on her motorbike. She took off her helmet, showing that her once long, red hair was now jet black and the usual light make up she wore was now dark and more gothic. She placed her helmet on the handles of her bike and adjusted her ponytail and then her black leather jacket. She didn't pay attention to the people who were staring at her and murmuring to each other. She smiled softly and began walking to the entrance of the university. It had been six months since she left the spotlight and people were still asking her why. She had told them that she just wanted to study but that wasn't the real reason why. Jihyun had lost all motivation to write. The songs that she had been releasing over the last six months were ones she had written at the beginning of her music career; she was lucky that they were still good songs.

Jihyun walked through the doors of Ming De University. After visiting the administration, to get her schedule and a map of the school, Jihyun made her way to the music hall. She walked through the doors of the music hall and suddenly all eyes were on her. stopped in her tracks and smiled nervously. The professor of the class told her to come to the front of the class and introduce herself to everyone. Jihyun followed his instructions and went to the front of the class but before she could introduce herself, one of the girls at the back stood up and screamed her name. This startled Jihyun and suddenly she was surrounded by almost the whole class. Everyone was shoving notebooks and pens at her, shouting for her to sign them. Jihyun tried to get past the large mass but failed every time she tried to move.

About ten minutes had passed and Jihyun was still trying to get out of the large mass of people. She kept shouting apologies to the professor who was shouting for everyone to get back to their seats and leave Jihyun alone, but no one was listening. Just as the professor was going to call the campus security to help Jihyun, a young man with messy, light brown hair had grabbed Jihyun's hand and pulled her out of the crowd and into his arms. The crowd of people turned to follow Jihyun but became quiet when they saw who has rescued the Korean Idol. Jihyun looked at her rescuer and her green eyes widened "L-Lei?" her voice was quiet, but the young man heard her and looked her right in her eyes "It's been a long time Miss Min" Lei smiled gently at her. A voice rang out behind and Jihyun looked at who shouted. There were three other guys standing behind Lei. Jihyun noticed that the one who had shouted also had light brown hair, but unlike Lei's, this young man's hair was straight, and his bangs stopped just above his eyes and were swept slightly to the side.

All the other students went back to their seats. Lei told Jihyun to sit with him and his friends so that she wasn't disturbed during class. Jihyun bowed as a thank you to the four young men and sat down between Lei and the guy who had told everyone to leave her alone. All throughout the class, Jihyun found herself sneaking glances at the young man. Without realizing it, Jihyun found that the class was over, and she packed up her things. She walked with the guys out of the lecture hall. The five of them stood in front of the windows and Lei introduced the other three guys to Jihyun "Ji this is Daoming Si, Meizuo Feng, and Ximen Yan. I told you about them the last time we met up in London" Lei smiled brightly as he introduced his friends. Jihyun bowed in hello to all of them "Lei that was nearly 4 years ago" her voice was soft. Ximen noticed that Jihyun was a bit nervous "You're an idol and yet you are nervous about meeting three guys who are friends with someone you have known for a while?" Ximen's comment cuts through the air like a knife. Jihyun's green eyes looked directly at Ximen. She tucked her jet-black hair behind her ear "It's because you are his friends that I am nervous" she sighed but smiled a little "Lei is the only real friend I have had in the last ten years. When he told me about you three, I could hear the admiration in his voice" she then fiddled with her sleeves "it made me want to meet you three but after that day, my partner became more strict on who I could see. He didn't even let me see Lei anymore" Lei was about to say something, but Jihyun's phone began ringing. She looked at her phone and her grip on it tightened "I'm sorry but I have to take this call" the four guys nodded, and Jihyun walked off and answered her phone.

Meizuo looked at Lei "Her reaction just now to her phone, it must not be someone she likes" Lei shrugged as he didn't see the screen on her phone. Ximen looked over to where Jihyun had gone "The name that came up was Alex Chu" he looked at his friends. Lei sighed slightly "He's still bothering her" the three guys looked at Lei and Si asked who Alex was. Lei explained that Alex was Jihyun's ex-boyfriend "They were together for six years, but Jihyun ended it just over a year ago" Si leaned forward "Why did she end it with him?" he asked Lei. Lei just shrugged "I don't know. Every time I asked Jihyun she would get a frightened look on her face and withdraw from everyone" Ximen looked a bit concerned "that sounds like a reaction someone would have when they have been a victim to abuse" his voice was just shy of a mumble but they others heard him. They all looked over to where Jihyun had gone, only to see a phone fly across the floor. The four of them ran over to when the phone had come from and found Jihyun sitting on the floor against the wall. Her knees were against her chest and she was shaking slightly. Ximen picked up Jihyun's phone and Lei knelt beside her. He placed his hand on her shoulder, causing Jihyun to jump slightly and look at him. All four guys were worried when they saw a look of fear and anger on Jihyun's face. Lei told the guys that he was going to take Jihyun home. It was near the end of the day and they had no more classes. Jihyun objected "I rode my motorbike here. I can't leave it." Her voice was quieter than before. Ximen knelt in front of Jihyun "give me the keys. I'll follow behind you and Lei and then get a ride back to mine with Lei" Lei, Meizuo and Si were all a bit surprised but Ximen's actions as usually he wasn't this kind to girls, plus they had never known him to ride a motorcycle. With a bit of hesitation, Jihyun handed Ximen her keys and the boys took her home.
