Jessica sat on an uncomfortable chair in the police station. Susanna stood at the reception speaking to M, K and Far.
"You have to find her." Susanna yelled, her accent thickening with every second of their conversation.
Jessica just looked down at the floor, fiddling with her hands nervously.
"You okay?"
Jessica looked up, it was K. He sat down next to her.
"I'm fine." She grumbled as she uncrossed her arms and forced an awkward smile onto her face.
"Don't worry. We'll find her." He said nicely as he sat stiffly against the back of the hard chair.
"I hope so. Its all my fault." She dug her head into her hands.
"It's not your fault, she did it herself, you don't force her to run away." K relaxed slightly when Jessica took her hands away from her face.
"I could've stopped her--" K cut Jessica off.
"Don't overthink it, that didn't happen and all we can do is find her now."
Jessica was silent for a little bit, and K took off his backpack to put it on the floor.
"What's Eve-Anne like?" He asked, as he kicked his bag carefully under his chair.
Jessica looked at him, and said "She's smart, sometimes sarcastic and mean though."
She awkwardly laughed.
"Mean?" K questioned, albeit carefully.
Jessica nodded. "Yeah, she can be quite threatening, but like, not in a criminal way."
"Ah okay." K responded, taking a mental note of those facts.
"What's inside your bag?" Jessica asked, nodding slightly in its direction.
"Case files, DNA testing kits, fingerprinting technology. Just the normal stuff really." He shrugged.
"K, get back over here!" M half yelled just after taking a sip of his tea.
He smiled, and took a plain piece of card out. It was clean, and had a number scribbled on the front in messy handwriting.
"Call if you need something, or find any clue to where she is." He said, and went back over to M.
Jessica went back to staring at the floor, until she stood and went to stand outside. The second she did, Talya suddenly appeared from behind her.
"Have you found her yet?" She asked as she hopped in front of her, blocking her pathway.
"No. How do you know about that?" Jessica said with distaste.
"I was eavesdropping." She paused for a second, "I do care, regardless of what people say."
"Do you know anything?" Jessica asked, sighing, and sidestepped out of Talya's way.
"No, but I can have another look." She replied, as she went to run off to do so.
"Hang on, wait-- be careful with her if you find her. You know what she's like when she's upset."
"I know."
