The small classroom filled with the few students the school had. Eve-Anne sat next to two others her age, Talya Brown and Myra Maynard. Talya had brown hair tied into two ponytails, and also brown eyes, whereas Myra had black hair, blue eyes and freckles.
"Today we have some special guests." The teacher said, a smile on his face, probably because he didn't have to teach.
Eve-Anne sat at the front in a corner, leaning on her elbow.
The two guests walked in. They were both intriguing. One was short, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore the standard police issue jacket and he had a backpack on. The other was tall, just taller than Eve-Anne, and had longer brown hair. He wore a red hoodie and jeans.
Eve-Anne sat up, curiously.
There was something odd about them, she couldn't even feel them standing there, or read their minds.
The shorter one took out a clipboard.
"We've been brought in to introduce ourselves and explain the importance of the police." The shorter one said, "My name is K, and my associate is Far."
Far stood in the corner, seemingly daydreaming about something.
"Okay…" He looked at the clipboard and pointed something out on it. "Jessica?" He asked too no response.
Eve-Anne looked around, Jessica wasn't there. She raised her hand.
"She's at reception, she's feeling ill." Eve-Anne lied.
"Alright, can you answer my question?" He asked, looking back at his clipboard.
Eve-Anne nodded in response.
"What would you do in response to a crime?"
"Report it." Eve-Anne leant on the table again, and looked at K.
"Correct." K looked at his clipboard, "Talya, what would you do if you were targeted by a criminal?"
"Kick em' where it hurts." Talya said, only to get a few odd looks.
"You could, but that's not preferable." K said with hesitation.
Far giggled, and took out a pack of sweets. He unwrapped them and started to chew on one.
Eve-Anne tapped the back of her neck, and looked around. She was somewhere else. She stepped into the mist of the other world and followed the light. The shape of the school halls were easy to make out, but trying to stay awake in the real world was draining Eve-Anne's energy.
She moved on again, the light growing brighter the further she went until she turned a corner and the mist parted.
Jessica sat on the floor, her hands in her head. She looked up.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, keeping her hand over the left side of her face.
"So you can see me, last time I did this you pretended you couldn't." Eve-Anne pouted and crossed her arms.
Jessica glared at her.
"It's not like you to miss a lesson, what's up?" Eve-Anne went and sat next to her. "Plus, I had to lie to the schools 'guests' about where you were."
"I'm fine." Jessica looked away a little, her short hair falling over her face.
Eve-Anne raised an eyebrow.
"No." She looked at her sister, a slight bit annoyed.
"You're going to do something stupid."
Eve-Anne looked away, and then back at Jessica.
"It was Molly again, wasn't it?" A softness crept it's way into Eve-Anne's voice.
"Please don't do anything." She half pleaded. "I don't want anyone to get hurt."
"You know me." Eve-Anne said, smirked, and clicked her fingers lightly behind her back when Jessica looked away for a slight second.
Eve-Anne found herself back in the classroom, she looked around a little and rubbed her head. She was exhausted but she knew what had to be done.
"Decided to join us again?" Talya  whispered.
Eve-Anne looked at her, and went to say something but was drowned out by the ringing of the bell.
"Talya. Can I have a word?" K said as students piled out of the class.
"Sure." She said.
Eve-Anne swiped a pair of scissors off of the teachers desk and slipped it into her blazer pocket while the teacher and detectives were distracted by Talya.
She went to stand outside. After waiting a little, Talya stepped out of the classroom.
"They asked me about your sister." Talya said, slightly confused.
Eve-Anne noted that, but didn't respond and rushed away.
"Where are you going?" Talya asked, trying to keep up.
"To have a chat with Molly." She said calmly, yet with a hint of anger.
"Eve-Anne! Please don't--" Jessica said as she ran around the corner, her face red and silvery from tears. There was a red cut over her eyebrow, and the area around it was darkening into a bruise.
"You're lucky nothing happened the last time!" Talya half yelled as she watched her friend storm away.
"It will only be a chat."
Jessica tried to pull Eve-Anne back, but she pushed her away.
"Stop trying to stand up for me." Jessica whined a little, although that was distorted by her broken voice.
"Well, you better start looking after yourself then." Eve-Anne said as she carried on.
Talya pulled Jessica back.
"Let her go." Eve-Anne could hear her mutter.
She carried on going and pushed Molly against a table when she found her.
"Leave my sister alone." She said, as she slipped her hand into the pocket with the scissors.
Molly looked at her with an annoyed glance and pushed Eve-Anne away.
"Nice bracelet. Can I see it?" Eve-Anne asked, tapping the back of her neck.
"Okay." Molly responded, a little bit trance like.
As she turned her hand, Eve-Anne took the scissors and thrusted the weapon just below the center of Molly's hand.
"That's the Median nerve. You might start to feel a slight numbness or tingling in your fingertips and find it hard to move." Eve-Anne hissed, a little bit like a snake, and in an odd and erratic manner.
"If you leave Jessica alone, I won't do anything else, but if you don't I will make your life hell." Eve-Anne said as she pushed the scissors further through her hand.
