I had a dream again last night. I was with Austin when something in me exploded like a time bomb with no warning and suddenly I was attacking him. My fists flew back and forth trying to destroy any structure of his face
I got off him, letting him stand up and blood started to seep down him dripping to the floor like a leaky faucet with the water stained deep red. Though, he was bleeding from his abdomen. His hand clenched the wound tight and his knees gave out causing him to fall to the ground.
A cloud of rolling vapor swept across his body like a wave across the surface of the ocean. When the fog left, he morphed into Kyle. Then I became a mess, aching and straining to hold myself together. The pain grew until I finally snapped out of it and woke up.
What could this dream mean? I think as I watch out onto a cloudless peaceful sky, seeing a set of maple trees pass by as quickly as the wind.
I am staring out the car window in a trance and then Kyle takes my hand causing my heart to flutter. "Lynnette?" his eyes filled with concern.
"I'm fine." I assure him.
"We are almost there, but you don't need to be nervous. Trust me." He smiles encouragingly as he squeezes my hand.
I nod and he turns his head back to the road, while I wonder if the dream was trying to tell me something.
"Okay we're here." Kyle says as park on a turnabout in front of a two-story brick house with white finish.
Peering at the house and thinking of what might happen, I do not even realize my nervous sigh is coming until it's out of my mouth.
"Lynnette? I told you, you have nothing to worry about. What can I do to reassure you?" Kyle's face is simple but unyielding.
"I know something that would make me feel better!" my voice hopeful as I look at his focused eyes with my own puppy-dog expression.
"Yes?" his blue eyes so intense as if they are willing to do anything that might come out of my mouth.
"You could tell me what the flower means?" I stare at him as he sighs and runs his hands through his dark hair.
He turns to me, placing his hand on mine and peers deep into my eyes. His eyes almost seem scared, but he forces his dazzling smile. "Soon I'll tell you." The sincerity and the warmth behind his voice makes my insides gush. "Are you ready?" he breathes with his eyes locked on mine.
"Yes." I say.
As we enter the house, I gaze up the staircase and at the top is a woman who could very well be an angel. She is smiling with a smile both kind and endearing. I stare at her as she walks down the stairs. Her motion is as smooth as if she is floating on water. The light from the chandelier makes her golden hair shine.
"Good evening, Lynnette? Am I correct?" her voice sounds like a soft solemn.
I nod and she reaches out her palm to me still smiling. Her skin is like creamy satin as I take her hand.
"My name is Angeline. I'm Kyle's mother." I notice her eyes are the same piercing blue as Kyle's. "I'm glad you could make it." Her presence is the type to warm your heart. One touch from her and a sickly person's pain might be alleviated.
"Hey!" At the top of the stairs, a petite brunette rushes down. "So, Kyle are you going to formally introduce me to Lynnette?" Her face appears radiant as she gleams at me.
