Tony's POV

The mystery boy slowly melts into someone familiar "Oh, but you do know me, Mr Stark" he says, and to my horror, he does change into Peter.

"Peter?" I ask, my chest beating so fast, I can't breathe. "Do you know," He asks, quietly "What's worse than losing a loved one?" He starts shaking, and Loki looks down at him, concerned. An expression I have never seen on his face before. "Being neglected by one" He says, looking up at me, and I realize what I've done. "I trusted you, Tony!" He screams, tears streaming down his face. "And when I needed you most, you left me! Avoided me! Suddenly you didn't have time for me, and when May died, you didn't even show a hint of sympathy!" I look down at my feet, guiltily. It was true. When Morgan was born, I loved her, and cut out every special connection with Peter. Ice cream on Sundays, Lab days on Tuesday and Thursday after school. I had replaced Peter, just as he started to get comfortable with being around me. He had serious trust issues, and when he started believing that could change, I just turned him away. Was he just another one of my charity projects? Did I really love him as my son? Peter looks away, bitterly "You were my closest friend, my mentor... my father figure. And when I started to trust you, you left" Loki pulls him in, and hugs him tight. That should've been me. I stand in shock, as my airways start closing in. I can't breathe. I need help. Thor is crying now, because Peter's story was so sad. I drop to my knees just as Peter and Loki start walking away. Peter looks over his shoulder. "I don't even know who I am anymore"" He whispers, so quietly I can barely make out what he says, and his sad, broken face is the last thing I see before I black out.

I wake up in a white room, my hospital. Peter isn't there waiting for me, like he usually does. I put my hand over my eyes, as tears slip out. I never knew how much I needed him, until he was gone. He was always there, cheering me up when I was sad, his pranks on me and the others made me laugh, and his internet challenges. He brightened up my day, with his stupid Vine references. He helped me give up drinking. He was the only thing stopping me from dropping into insanity, ending it all. I dry my tears, as Bruce walks in. "Tony, you're so lucky Peter got you here in time, that could've been fatal. Whatever triggered you must've really tipped you over the edge." Oh my god. It was Peter. He saved me for the thousandth time before, even after I'd broken him. I now realize what the bitter looks from Nat, Bucky, Loki, Peter and Shuri were from. Obviously Nat and Bucky would've noticed with their training, but they were like Peter's parents than me. They looked after him, and he told them everything, more than he had ever told me, and they were always the first ones to know what was going on in the land of Peter. I take it Loki didn't realize that Peter was his son until recently, because I would've known by now. They and Shuri were always there for him, when I wasn't and he was there for them even more than I had ever been. I realize, He trusts them more, because he had no one to turn to but them. I start sobbing, and Bruce looks confused. "Are you ok, Tony?" he asks, glancing worriedly at my heart monitor. I stop "I'm fine" I'm Tony fricking Stark. I'm one of the core members of this group. But Peter was the glue that kept me together. I get up, and walk away, ignoring Bruce's protests. I get changed into a t-shirt and head down to the lab.

I spend days and nights there, isolating myself from the others, and barely eating. Pepper comes down everyday, and tries to get me to come back up. After a week, I give in, and head up to my bedroom, where I cry, telling Pepper about what a horrible mentor I've been to Peter, leaving out the part he's Loki's son. she hugs me tightly, and kisses my head. "Tones, you can't make up for your past mistakes, but you can use them as a guide for the future. Morgan misses her dad. We all miss you, and Peter hasn't come out of his room since he brought you to the hospital. He only lets Loki, Bucky and Nat talk to him and bring him food. He won't harm you." I sigh, and change out of the clothes I've been wearing for a week, and head downstairs, everyone looks relieved to see me, except for Bucky and Loki. Nat is at least attempting to mask her disapproval, but no one else know what happened, so I just grab a cup of coffee, and drink it. Everyone is staring at me, expectantly. "What?" I ask them, slightly annoyed. Steve speaks "No one will tell us what happened that night." I notice that they want me to tell them. I just groan, and say "You'll  find out soon enough", and with that, Peter walks into the room, looking like Nat usually does: tired of everyone's bullshit.

Peter's POV

I walk into the room, feeling done. I've missed a week of school, and my phone's been going crazy. I ignore it though, because I can't really talk to Ned and MJ right now. "WASSUP FUCKERS" Nat smiles. "WHY DO YOU HAVE MY PHONE?" She ask/yells, and I yell back "FUCK YOU, THAT"S WHY" Everyone looks shocked, and cap mutters "language". To be honest,  I don't blame them. They have no idea who the heck I am. Bucky grabs me with his metal arm, the material cool against my skin, and he pulls me towards him, giving me a hug, his longish hair falling over mine, and then Natasha and then Loki. Tony looks down at his feet, as I take my place next to Loki. So he should. "Is anyone willing to tell me who this is?" Clint asks, and Natasha glares at him. I look up at him "can I get a waffle?" I ask him, with faint humor "Can I PLEASE get a waffle?" Steve throws me a waffle. Not what I meant, but I'm not complaining. "That still doesn't answer my question" Clint says. "I'll whoop yo ass. Yo girlfriend look like my mom" I reply with a smirk. Clint grins "jokes on you, I don't have a girlfriend, I have a wife" I shrug, still smiling. "Okay. But seriously,  w h o  a s k e d" Loki, Nat and Bucky are trying not to laugh, as I get up, my green eyes flashing dangerously. "That," I say, pointing at Loki "Is my father." I say. Everyone gasps and I say in my dad's head: I gotta be extra, hold on. "But what's your name?" Wanda asks, even though everyone looks shocked. I smile, and my Asgardian form melts into my human one. "We're supposed to believe that?" Bruce asks "If you're Loki's son, then you could easily turn into Peter" I sigh "For starters, my name is Pyotr. Second," I jump onto the roof and stick there. They gape at me. I shrug. "Well really, I only found out a month ago, and Loki didn't know either. So yea." Loki smiles, and I go back to sit next to him. Was I extra enough? I ask him in our minds, and he replies, You were perfect, and I recorded the whole thing.
