Bastian's POV:

I finished coming in from running an errand as I see Max slam his way around the house grabbing one of his concubines roughly as he makes his way across the house to his leisure wing. He looks livid so I make my way up the steps to see if Nico is okay, it's been rough with them coming back together.. I've watched Nico being pleasant and learning but not making an effort to bond with Max which I know is frustrating him beyond what he's used to experiencing. No one ever tells our Prince no, much less should a mate.

I knock on Nico's door but it just opens, it hadn't been shut properly. I hear sounds of a struggle as I near his bathroom door so I call out to him as I turn the nob, he's on the floor in what looks like a full blown panic attack. I try to get his attention and sooth him but he passes out in front of me so I scoop him up in my arms holding him under his knees and under his arms as I rush down stairs and to the opposite hall where we have a small medical wing with our healer for Max's needs.

"Cora!! Cora, I need your help! Nico had a panic attack and he's not conscious!" I yell out as I kick the door to her medical room open. She must've been on her break, rushing she sets her mug down as I lay Nico down on the bed letting her examine him. She checks his pulse, flashes a light into his eyes and starts to manually assess his body from head to toes. Not saying a word to me as I stand there helpless looking on. Finally she looks up at me "I need to run some blood work on him, he doesn't seem to have anything that is obviously wrong with him but I'm sure this episode is due to stress." Then she pulls out her equipment and takes a vial of blood from his arm before asking me to sit down.

Knowing that she's one of our elders and very knowledgeable I nod and sit myself down promptly, I hold Nico's hand more for my own reassurance than his since I want to make sure he's alive and well. I can't imagine what would happen to Max if he lost his mate and what he would do to me if he knew I failed to get him medical help in time. I shudder at the thought.

Damir's POV:

It's been a hectic Friday wrapping up at work I glance at my phone to see Nico has sent me a text, I can't help but smile seeing it's a pic of him and the girls at the football game. They look so excited. I'll just pick up a bite to eat on my way home since I'm sure they'll be home late.
