"That is awesome" Anakin praised Ahsokas soup.
The Togruta smiled. It was a relatively warm evening and with the fire it was really nice.
The meat hang above them, still smoking.
Ahsoka had finished cutting the animals, with a little help of Rex.
It was pretty hard, to fit it all over the frame, but they managed.
Ahsoka had boiled a bit if water, mixing it with remaining berrys, herbs and plant roots.
Anakin had no idea when she made the stone bowl she was using for it, but apparently she had done it somewhen.
He had added a little bit of the meat, and now they had an absolutely delicious soup.
"I'd never known you can cook so well" he added, making his Padawan smile.
She was indeed proud of her cooking skills.
"Well somebody had to learn." she said.
Rex, who had never eaten anything else than rations and the fish they had the last days, was absolutely blown away by the taste of soup.
Obi-Wan smiled about the near to childish joy of the clone trooper. It was kinda cute.
"So, what's up for tomorrow?" Anakin asked with food in his mouth.
"We'll cover up the walls with clay, to keep bugs and similar animals out." she explained, setting her bowl aside.
She had only ate a small portion. She wasn't that hungry.
She knew that she had to though. She was already getting weaker and she had to keep as much strength as possible.
But she was sure she would throw up if she ate even a little bit more.
She didn't want to throw up in front of her Master. That would only increase his worries.
She watched the fire dancing around. She almost hoped it would grow bigger, because she felt freezing cold.
But she was aware, that that was because of the fact that she had fever.
Probably high fever.
Anakin looked up. "Already finished with eating?"
"Jup" she answered. "Absolutely full"
He smiled.
"I'll going to get some sleep then" she added, leaving the others alone.
She needed to rest.
She was already close to finishing the preparations for winter.
She only had to keep on going a few more days.
Then the other would be save.
Then she could die in peace.
She heard them talking and laughing at the fire.
She was almost sad, that she had gone to her tent.
She would have loved to banter around with them.
But then again, her leg hurted so much, that she wouldn't have been able to hide it well enough.
So she crawled into her tent, closing up the entrance with the little hill of leaves, that laid there, exactly for this purpose and tried to get some much needed sleep.
