She cut out pieces of meat from the animals the rest of the day. Hanging them over the frame she built.

Obi-Wan and Rex where sent out by her to collect more wood and moss.

She told them to get the moss, because burning it produced a lot of smoke. And they needed smoke.

They were trying to smoke the meat after all.

When Anakin returned, she sent him out for moss and wood as well.

Well after she explained that Rex had shot the animals.

She wasn't about to tell him that she used a bow, while her arm was broken.

She definitely wouldn't tell him.

When the three of them came back, she still wasn't even ready with the first animal.

Anakin offered to help her, but she refused. She had seen him with the fishes and weren't about to let him work on the big animals.

At least not yet.

Instead she told him, Rex and Obi-Wan to dig.

They had to store the food somewhere, so she instructed them to dig a room in the earth.

They were going to close up the walls with the clay Ahsoka had seen on the bottom of the river later, and then it should be a save place for the food.

So Rex, Obi-Wan and Anakin digged. Ahsoka had given them her spear, so that they could loosen the earth before throwing it out if the hole.

In that time she kept on cutting the meat.

It was a lot of meat.

The fire already burned, smoking the meat already hanging above it.

She smiled. It turned out well. She may actually get the others through.

All they needed was a little bit luck.

And hopefully enough time.

She could feel the pain in her leg growing.

She knew her injury was getting worse. The infection was intensifying.

Her Master looked over the edge of the hole and smiled in her direction.

She fought back her pain and smiled back.

„How are ya doing?" the Jedi knight asked his Padawan, the hair full of dirt and sweat running down his face.

„Pretty well" Ahsoka answered. „Better then you as it seems" she added.

Anakin raised an eyebrow. „What is that supposed to mean?" he wanted to know.

The girl giggled a bit. „You're full of dirt. You'll have to bath again." she gave back.

Anakin looked up to his hair, rubbing over it. „No way. The river is freezing cold. I'm definitely not going to bath again!"

Ahsoka rolled her eyes. „Well. Then keep stinking little hutt."

He shook his head. „You definitely deserved your nickname Snips."
