She didn't feel alive.

She couldn't feel her body.

She could only feel the pain coursing through it.

Her eyes refused to open and she heard her blood loudly rushing through her Lekku.

Too loud.

She'd liked to scream that it should stop. That it should be silent, but her voice refused to work.

She felt icy cold, even though she knew her body was burning hot.

Her mind was racing, but she couldn't get a clear thought.

As if the infection had not only infected her body, but her mind as well.

It was a small feeling, that broke through the storm coursing around in her.

Somebody stroked the back of her hand.

It was relieving.

She knew they were there.

She knew, that they'd stay with her.

She knew that they wouldn't abandon her.

She knew she never was alone.

She heard the voice of her master, but couldn't understand a thing.

The words were blurred by the sound of her rushing blood.

'Make it stop! Shut up!' she screamed in her head, but it was of no use.

She felt a cold on her face, as a tear slipped down, a warm hand wipped it away.

The pain was so... absolute.

It had her in his grasp and she couldn't escape.

All the screams. All the hope, it was caught in her and she couldn't break free.

All she managed to get out was a silent moan of pain.

The answer was a light squeeze at her Hand.

He was there.

Her Master was there.

And he wouldn't go.

He'd stay with her.

She knew.
