(I)"Huh? Oh, I wanted to ask him to make me an artificial Soul."

Cross almost instantly stopped walking besides me.

(C)"An.. artificial Soul? Isn't that really dangerous..?"

(I)"Yeah but since I don't have a Soul in the first place, it breaking inside of me wouldn't change much would it?"

(C)"..You have a point but.. an artificial Soul on a Soulless Monster is unheard of, Hell I've never even heard of an AU where Flowey successfully gets an artificial Soul!"

(I)"I know it comes with risks and everything but so does everything else! I promise if something goes wrong Nightmare and I will stop experimenting until I'm okay."

(I)"You're overthinking this, if he really didn't trust me why would he be letting me know all these important things about the Gang?"

(C)"Because he knows you wouldn't be able to tell Dream right away. He could kill you whenever he feels like it, even if you weren't being threatening to him. If he feels one of us are in danger because of you.. it's over for you dude."

(I)"I guess.. well that's kinda why I want a Soul, so he can sense what I'm feeling so he knows I'm not a threat."

(C)"Once again, messing with artificial Souls is dangerous, Ink. Just be careful not to-"

Cross coughed as dust blew onto him, and it swiftly flew onto me as well; where the everliving fuck did this come from?

(C)"Did.. did Nightmare warn you we were heading into a genocide route..?"

(I)"Ugh.. no, he didn't. He only told me to watch for their actions or whatever."

I spat out some dust that got into my mouth, judging by Cross' response to the situation Monster dust had fallen onto us, whether it was by the wind or on purpose I'll probably never know, but what I did know was that Cross and I's clothes were both absolutely covered in Monster dust.

(C)"That bastard.. I'm gonna kill him once we get back!"

(I)"You sure?"

(C)"Hell yeah I'm sure, he got Monster dust all over us and I'm sure it was on purpose!"

(I)"You're saying Nightmare threw this over us?"

(C)"He sent us to this AU where dust has blown over onto us, I'm sure he knew what was gonna happen! Gah, forget the Mission! If that bastard wants it done he can do it himself, are you coming home with me or nah?"
