God I hate this chapter

Ink's POV

After kidnapping five more Monsters and having a well deserved rest, I was in the training room with Cross. We were fighting each other and, well, it wasn't going well for either of us; neither of us could get proper hits off on each other since Killer had taken away our weapons and given us throwing knives. Honestly, why couldn't we just do this with our normal weapons? It'd be so much easier than this..

(I)"Are.. are we done yet?!"

(K)"No? I said you'd be done the second one of you beats the other, and it doesn't look like that's happening right now so keep on going."

(C)"Ugh.."

I dropped the knives onto the floor and sat down, just staring at Cross. If one of us had to win this stupid fight I'd rather Cross win it so I could just leave, this was boring as fuck and I just wanted to go out and get ice cream or something.

(K)"What're you doing?"

(I)"Sitting down so Cross can win, why?"

(K)"You can't do that!"

(I)"Why not? There's nothing that says I can't."

(K)"'Cuz you two were meant to fight until one of you lost and-"

(I)"And I technically lost because I'm refusing to fight."

(C)"..Ink's got a point."

(K)"No he doesn't!"

(C)"He does, because technically you said until one of us loses, not until one of us beats the other in like a combat sense, ya know?"

(K)"Wh- I-"

(C)"Great, so I win!"

(I)"Yep, let's go then!"

(K)"No, guys, that's not how this works!"

(I)"Yeah it is."

I stood up and dusted myself off.

(C)"So, what will we do now?"

(I)"I dunno, I think Nightmare's kinda upset at how much I've been going out lately so I think I should stay inside."

(C)"Huh? Why would he get upset at something like that..? It doesn't make sense."

(I)"I just sorta get the feeling he's pissed because I've gone against his rule of me not going out by myself like.. five times now."

(K)"You broke his rules and survived?!"

(C)"Wow, and I thought I was the favourite.."

(I)"Huh?"

(K)"Usually Nightmare beats us to a pulp if we disrespect his rules, I'm surprised you didn't die when you broke them this early on, five times as well!"

(C)"I mean, he is new.."

(K)"Nightmare still beat us when we were new!"

(C)"Yeah, but Nightmare's changed a lot since then, he was still under the influence of the apples and-"

(K)"You're releasing info again!"

(C)"And? He doesn't care, even if he did I doubt anything that bad would happen."

(I)"He said.."

I trailed off towards the end, remembering our conversation was probably just something I'd made up.

(K)"What'd he say, Ink?"

(I)"N-nothing, nevermind."

(C)"Hey, wanna go find him and ask him to go out? We can find Dust and Horror along the way, maybe even Error~!"
