~ The Winchesters ~
When Dean woke up, it was 6:58 in the morning. He sighed and sat up, pushing his jacket that he had used instead of the dirty-ass blanket off his chest.
Being as quiet as he could (Sam didn't sleep well the night before or on the plane), Dean got ready for the day. By the time he was done neatening up his hair and getting dressed into fresh clothes, Sam was still asleep. So Dean decided to wake him up.
Dean decided to annoy Sam and poked his shoulder three times to get him up. The fourth time Dean poked him, Sam's eyes opened. With a growl and a muttered "What was that for?" to which Dean grinned, Sam sat up and looked over at the clock.
Sam huffed and silently got ready. After giving Dean a slight push for poking him, of course.
At around 7:30, both Winchesters were ready and had the few things they had used the night before packed up again.
Before leaving, Dean took a look at his phone and saw a message from Bobby.
Bobby: good. If you survived a plane ride, try to survive whatever is there in Chico. I've been getting some weird omens from around there. Whatever it is, it's dangerous. Be quick and be safe.
The brothers took one last look at the motel room before leaving.
~ The Novaks, hours earlier ~
"Where are we going now? The schools probably not allowing any newcomers to get into their rooms," Gabriel asked, opening a mini bag filled with starburst candies.
Anna pulled a key from out of her pocket. "We're going to go to my place," she said, smiling.
The key was to the door of Anna's new rental home that she had somehow managed to get. This is where she will be staying while she does her new job.
Gabriel managed to convince Anna to not let them drive to the home and instead just do it "The Angel way".
So, after finding a private area- which was quite easy as it was late at night- the three Novaks all vanished into thin air before reappearing at the steps of a cozy, small house.
Anna's new house had only one floor. But it had two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a laundry room and a living room. Just about all of these things were unnecessary for the angels, but if they were going to pretend to be human, they had to look it.
"You've been quiet, Castiel. Are you alright?" Anna asked her brother.
Cas nodded wordlessly.
Gabriel snapped behind them and suddenly the windows were all covered from curtains that had not been there before. Immediately after, Gabe took off the brown jacket he had been wearing that conceals his wings from eyeing humans.
Three pairs of golden wings stretched out far. "Man, if just that flight was hard hiding them, imagine what school will be like," Gabe said to Castiel.
Anna followed Gabriel's actions and pulled off her own black, leather jacket. A pair of very light (almost white, but not exactly) pink wings sprouted into view.
Gabriel happened to be an archangel. Hence the three pairs of wings. Anna and Castiel are just angels.
Then the focus came to Castiel, who hesitates. But after a moment of really feeling his wings' ache to get out and stretch, he gave in and took off his overcoat. His black and blue wings stretch slightly but not too much.
