//Note: the Novaks created suitable shirts that would make their wings comfortable. The shirts all have holes in them at the back, so they don't have to be going around half-naked whenever they want to stretch their wings. They use coats or sweatshirts to hide their wings from any passing humans. However, there are a few other situations. For getting around, clothes do not stop the wings from flapping twice so the angel can travel.\\

~ The Winchesters ~

Once the pair finished eating their breakfast, (Dean not getting a pie because Sam ordered him not to cause it was 'too early in the morning' but it can never be too early in the morning for pie, c'mon, Sammy, you should know this by now) they decided to check out the school grounds.

For a little while, they walked around, trying to memorise where everything was and what buildings they would need to go to for class, which restaurants and cafés looked good, which ones didn't look good. Dean kept his eye out for any chicks to pick up. Because, really, a college relationship sounds amazing.

A few girls did stop and talk with them. Two of which were flirting with Dean, who obviously flirted back because damn. The other one flirted with Sam, who awkwardly tried to flirt back but failed miserably.

Dean was laughing about Sam's failure in a brotherly way when he spotted two figures walking towards them. One of the figures had a trench coat on and Dean immediately recognised who it was.

"Hey, Cas," Dean greeted as they got closer to each other on the walking path.

Castiel's eyes jumped to Dean. "Oh, hello, Dean. Sam." Cas' eyes lingered on Dean for a moment before the man Cas was with cleared his throat.

"Guys, this is my brother Gabriel. Gabriel, this is my roommate Dean and his brother, Sam," Castiel introduced his brother to the Winchesters.

"Heya, boys," Gabriel said with a wave.

The two Novak brothers looked pretty close in age. But the gleam in Gabriel's eye showed that he was the older one of the two.

"Hey," both Winchesters responded.

"What are you two up to?" Gabe asked casually.

"Just walking around and exploring," Sam was the one to answer, "trying to get a feel for the whole school thing."

"Mind if we join you?" Gabriel's question received a brief yet stern look from his younger brother.

"We don't mind."

The Novaks joined the Winchester and the two pairs of brothers walked together along the path that crisscrossed through the school grounds. They walked in a comfortable silence.

A young woman with dirty-blonde hair walked past them and accidentally bumped into Castiel.

They ended up talking as they walked about. Stories were exchanged. The Winchesters, of course, changing up their stories slightly as to not reveal their secret. The group of four laughed and slowly became more comfortable around each other.

The weather was nice for early fall. A gentle breeze was in the air. It was cool out, not too warm but not too cold. A good fall day. Leaves had already started to fall, but only a few. Trees were beginning to shift colors, creating beautiful scenery.

//Note: I'm not sure if there is a noticeable change in weather in this part of California. It's a fan fiction. *shrug*\\

Eventually, the four found themselves in a large field behind a few of the main buildings. Students were already hanging out there, despite the school not opened yet. Some were having late breakfasts while others were just sitting and hanging out. A glance was exchanged between all of them and they decided to sit down and rest for a bit on the clean cut grass.
