~ Sam Winchester ~
Sam walked with Gabriel through the halls of building 3. They were now on the second floor, Sam explaining that he needed to look the part of an FBI agent if either of them were going to get information.
They reached Sam's room and Gabriel waited outside while Sam changed. Sam quickly put on a nice suit and tie, also grabbing his fake badge. When the Winchester left his room, he noticed that Gabriel had a fake badge of his own in his hand.
"Looks as real as it can get," Gabe commented, not exactly to Sam but more to himself. Gabe put the fake badge in his jacket and looked up at Sam. "Let's go, Moose."
Sam looked at Gabriel, confused. "How did you-?"
"Telepathy, Samsquatch. Just a quick glance, don't worry. I didn't see any of your thoughts. Mostly." Gabe smirked.
The pair walked to the elevator and got in with a trio of other students. Gabriel had somehow gotten a lollipop and was sucking on it.
The silent filled elevator reached the bottom floor and everyone got out. Sam and Gabriel walked side by side out of the building.
Sam led the way over to the Impala and took out the keys to the car out of his suit's pocket. He got into the driver's seat, while Gabe got in across from him.
"So, do you know which alleyway we're headed for or are we just going to stop at each one?" Gabriel asked, looking over at the hunter.
Sam frowned. "Good point." He paused for a moment, thinking. Sam got an idea and handed Gabriel his phone. "Text Dean and ask him for the location."
Gabriel took the phone and texted Dean. "Hope we won't be interrupting something." The archangel's eyebrows wiggled.
The hunter rolled his eyes. "I don't think Dean would go for Cas."
Gabriel laughed and leaned back in his seat. "Eh, I wouldn't be too sure."
Sam glances over at Gabriel. "Why, you notice something else between the two that I haven't seen?"
"I see many things ya don't see," Gabe replied with a smile. Gabriel messages Dean and asks him for the location. Dean writes back shortly after with the approximate location of where Cas was attacked. Gabriel reads off the location to Sam, who nods.
It takes a few minutes, but the pair eventually arrive at the alleyway. The two of them got out and started looking around.
"This is where Cas was led to?" Gabe asks, looking around at the place. He shakes his head.
Sam crouches down and reaches out towards the concrete. "Check this out!" Sam calls over to Gabriel. Gabriel makes his way over and looks at what Sam is pointing to.
The hunter has his finger pointed a small puddle of black looking goo.
"Ectoplasm," Sam says. "Elizabeth must've been possessed by some sort of ghost. Vengeful spirit maybe."
Gabriel just nods and looks at the ectoplasm.
Sam pushes himself up off the ground. He stands up tall. "Lets go look for Elizabeth. If she's still possessed, which I doubt, we get the spirit out of her. If not, then we ask her what she remembers."
"Lead the way Samsquatch."
Back in the Impala, Sam turns to Gabe. "Do you think you could locate Elizabeth?" He asks the archangel.
Gabriel nods. "Give me a sec." The archangel closes his eyes. Beneath his eyelids, his eyes are visibly moving around. Sam watched as a frown came across Gabriel's face.
"Don't start the car." Gabriel's voice was surprisingly serious.
Sam made a confused face as he shut off the car. "What is it?"
The archangel took ahold of Sam's arm, reaching across the armrest between them. There was a whoosh in the air and the hunter and the angel disappeared. When they reappeared, they were standing in a neighborhood, in front of a house.
"Gabriel-? Where, uh, where are we?" Sam looked at Gabriel.
"This is Elizabeth's house, shared with a couple friends." Gabriel's frown deepened. "There's a room warded in there. Elizabeth's. I can sense her soul, it is fading fast."
Sam grabbed his gun. "Teleport us as close as you can get," Sam ordered before adding the word, "please."
Gabe took ahold of Sam's arm once again and the two disappeared from within the Impala. Sam blinked and the next thing he saw was a door. He and Gabriel were standing in a hallway on the top floor. Sam tried the door handle, but it was locked.
"Move it, Samsquatch," Gabriel said.
Sam stepped aside and Gabriel held out his arm, his hand outstretched. The door swung open and the pair raced inside. On the ground beside a pink bed was Elizabeth. She seemed to be in a lot of pain going on the fact that she was curled up in a tight ball, her hands fisting in her brown hair.
Elizabeth's mouth opened in a silent scream. Sam ran over to her and crouched down beside her. The hunter glanced back at Gabriel, his eyes pleading for the archangel to heal the girl. Gabriel just shook his head. There was some powerful wardings that would not allow him to use his angel mojo once inside the room.
The girl in Sam's arms began to have some sort of fit. Elizabeth's body twitched again and again before she went completely still.
After a moment, Sam placed Elizabeth's body on the floor and stood up. There was a sad look on his face as he stood up to his normal height. Shoulders slouching slightly, Sam walked back over to Gabriel. Sam turned and looked at Elizabeth's form. He noticed a small puddle of ectoplasm and didn't even have to check it to know what it was.
Sam shook his head, "let's get out of here."
The pair turned and made their way to the exit of the room. Before leaving, Sam knocked over a plastic statue on Elizabeth's desk. The sound would be loud enough that if someone else was in the house, they would hear it and find Elizabeth's body.
Once out of the room, Gabriel gently grabbed the sleeve of Sam's fake suit and the pair found themselves back in the Impala and on the road.
The two of them sat in silence for a few moments before Sam pulled out his phone and dialed Dean.
"Hey," Sam greeted when Dean picked up. Dean greeted him back.
"So, Elizabeth's dead. She was definitely possessed by a ghost. We found ectoplasm both at the alleyway and near Elizabeth when she died. The weird thing is, no ghost left her when she died. She didn't seem physically harmed, so maybe it was an after effect of being possessed," Sam said, filling Dean in on what they had found out already.
"When we found her," Sam went on, "she was having some sort of fit. Nothing medical that I could tell. And its not something we have encountered before. Mind looking into it while we're out?"
"Yeah, sure. Right away," Dean replied.
Sam gave a weird look at Dean's response but shrugged it off. "Right, well, gotta go. Call if you find anything."
"Yup. Bye Sammy."
"Bye."
Sam hung up the call and put his phone away.
Gabriel speaks after another moment of silence. "Who do you think will make a move first? Dean or Cas?"
This earned a small laugh for Sam. "I don't think either of them. But if I had to guess... Cas."
"I think Dean. I'll bet you twenty."
"Your on."
