Oscar never dares to glance at me the entire time during the first period. Unlike him, though, I would every once in a while give him a quick look. I wanted to look at his expressions—his eyes, mostly—to catch a glimpse of emotion that would tell me what he is currently feeling.

I raise my hand, wanting to clear my thoughts. "Sir," I say, "may I go to the restroom?"

He nods, telling me to be quick.

I stand up and head out the door in a second. Even though the hallways are quiet, I still decide to enter the nearest restroom and lock myself inside a stall. Thankfully, I am the only one here.

I slap both hands over my face and sigh loudly before taking a deep breath.

That is when I hear the door open. I remain sitting down, waiting for the footsteps to leave as soon as the individual is done with his business. Instead, the dark shoes stop in front of my stall, taking me by surprise.

Oscar does not bother to knock. "I know you're in there, Theo."

I lay my head back. "What is it, Oscar?"

He scoffs, leaning on the stall. "Are you seriously going to ignore what happened a few weeks ago?" he says. "If so, there is no way I will let you."

"Don't worry," I tell him, wanting him to leave soon so I don't have to face him. "I still recall perfectly."

"I thought so," he says. He shifts his entire body so his back is leaning on the stall. "You told me you were not with Harvey."

I do not reply back even though I seriously want to.

He sighs, looking at the white tiles underneath him. "You lied."

It hurts to hear him say that about me—mostly because he is speaking the truth. That is all I have been doing these previous months—lying to those around me and to myself. "I— I did not," I mutter, not sure if saying this is a good idea. Harvey made it perfectly clear that no one should know that we are actually not together or his plan will come crumbling down.

"What do you mean?" Oscar asks.

I run a hand over my face. "Do we have to talk about this?" I say, wanting this conversation to end as soon as possible. "Anyone can come in any second."

"No one will," Oscar lets me know. "I locked the door."

I chew the inside of my cheek, remaining on the toilet for long minutes. Finally, I stand up and unlock the stall so I can open the door.

Oscar stands there with his arms crossed. "Hello there, stranger."

I leave the door open, but do not step out. "Hey."

He shrugs, waiting for a response. "Are you going to explain yourself?"

I think thoroughly what I am about to say, questioning myself whether I should tell him or not. I look down, scratching the nail of my thumb. "I was not lying that night," I admit. "Harvey and I are not dating."

Oscar heads over to the sink and rests his hands on the edge. "I am not sure I understand," he says, looking at me through my reflection. "Then what is going on between you two?"

I face his reflection, black bangs hanging over his forehead. "Our relationship is not genuine," I explain, coming out of the stall. "I am helping him get back at Genesis and the rest for setting me up to break his heart."

He frowns, turning around to see me. "You were set up by Genesis to break Harvey's heart?"

I nod my head. "I am pretty sure that's what I said."

He stares at the floor for a while before taking a few steps closer to me. He comes to a pause when our chests are almost touching and I can smell his cologne. "Theo," he says in a lower voice, "do you feel anything for me?"

I cross my arms and run my thumb over my bottom lips slowly, avoiding his gaze. "Wasn't it obvious?"

He lifts his arm and, with his index finger, raises my chin until my eyes rest on his. "When can we be together?" he whispers, as if afraid that anyone in the hallways might hear us behind locked doors.

"I don't know," I reply, staring at his rosy lips. "When all of this is over."

He brings his thumb to my lip and does exactly what I was doing a few seconds ago, caressing my lip with his finger. "Can you not leave him if you do not want to be by his side?"

I sigh softly. "I owe it to him for what I did."

"You owe him nothing, but fine," he mutters, coming down to connect our foreheads. His lips and mine are slightly touching each other, the two of us almost exchanging breaths. "I guess no one will have to know." With that, he grabs the back of my neck and pulls me to a kiss.

I close my eyes, savoring his taste as he rests his other hand on my hip. Although I am new to all this, I find myself wrapping my hands around his neck too—a body instinct that I can't fight back.

We separate for a second only to catch our breaths before we resume right where we left off. The second time, he grabs me from behind and lays me over the sink counter. From this position, I am able to wrap my legs around his waist while he rests both hands firmly on mine.

There is a sudden knock on the door, forcing us to stop.

"Is anyone in there?" someone calls out.

Oscar glances at the door and then back at me. He scans my body and the position we are in. "Did I just carry you to the sink?"

I grin, chuckling quietly. "You did."

He also chuckles, not removing his hands from me. "Wow."

There is a second knock.

"We should leave," I tell him, afraid that the person on the other side of the door will call the custodian to unlock it for him.

Oscar remains in place, not wanting to. Then, he moves away from between my legs and allows me to come down the sink. Once down, I nod at him and head over to the door.

"Wait!" He pulls me for one more kiss. "Okay," he says, running a hand over his hair. "You can open the door now."

I smile at him and unlock the door, pulling it open to head back into the hallways.
