~~Later That Evening~~
After dinner, Tatay turned to watch the children getting the mattresses and beddings ready in the family room. The children had their nightly routine done. Showered and dressed in their pajamas, all ready for the promised movie night. Sebby and Sieggy were running their toy cars and trucks along the blankets and pillows, Aycee were singing a lullabye, laying her dolls on their little cradles and putting them to sleep while the two elder boys, Thirdy and Theo were playing mobile games on their cellphones.
Tatay smiled to himself; having begotten five children, he was pretty sure that he was going to be a grandfather, but having all these kids here now, plus the rest of his grandchildren in their respective homes, it feels truly wonderful. He made a mental note to gather all his grandchildren once vacation starts and bring them over to the farm for a week to give their parents a break. That should be full of chaos and fun. But they better have their nannies with them. Two maybe three, he can handle, but the whole lot of them in one place? Absolute mayhem.
Tatay: Okay, ready na ba kayo? Umpisahan na natin si Pedro Penduko.
Aycee: *looks up and frowns* Lolo, it's Peter Pan.
Tatay: Este Peter Pan pala! *winks at Thirdy and Theo who were chuckling, sitting down on the recliner as the movie started. At one point, Aycee got scared of the Captain Hook and climbed into her Lolo's lap*
Theo: I'm hungry. Lolo can we get some snacks? Popcorn?
Tatay: May popcorn ba kayo dyan?
Thirdy: Yes po Lolo, we have them. I'll ask Ate Josie to make some.
Theo: Kuya, sandwiches too.
Sebby: Bownees!
Sieggy: Chocolates!
Aycee: I want some cookies.
Tatay: Mana nga kayo sa Tatay nyo. Walang pagsidlan ang pagkain. *laughs* Halika, doon tayo sa kitchen, tayo nalang ang gagawa. You will all help me.
Twenty minutes later, the food was ready. Popcorn, ham and cheese sandwiches, brownies, cookies and a couple of bags of MM's. Aycee and the twins, Sebby and Sieggy, while waiting for their Lolo to tidy up the kitchen, decided to play hide and seek.
Aycee: I'll count, you hide. *tells the twins*
Sebby/Sieggy: Okay!
Aycee: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.. Ready or not, here I come! *easily finding the twins behind the table* I see you! Lolo come let's play hide and seek!
Tatay: O sige pero short time lang ha. Papawisan na naman kayo nyan, nakaligo na kayo eh.
Aycee: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6...
