M: Welcome to Sagamore!
R: So this is the famous Sagamore kung san ka naging expert sa pagluluto ng itlog. *chuckles*
M: *laughs, and looks around* Such a long time ago but nothing has changed here, still tranquil and beautiful as the first time I saw it.
R: *giving M a back-hug* And I promise you we will come back, pag malalaki na ng konti ang mga bata. Babalik tayo dito kasama sila. That's a promise.
M: *turns around, cupping R's face* I love you my Richard.. *giving R a quick kiss* Lika na, if I remember right, mas maganda sa likod neto. From our suite we should have a good view of the lake.
Maine, though missing their two little boys, was looking forward to the three days with just her and RJ. It was a gift to themselves for their 5th wedding anniversary. To say the past year has been hectic, is a tad short of an understatement. RJ has been offered a full year scholarship on Film-Making and Directing at NYU. He was jubilant at the offer but he was also hesitant, he has a young family to think of, the younger of his two sons wasn't even a year old then.
But of course as soon as he told Maine, there was no question about RJ not taking it. She encouraged and pushed him to grab at the chance and gladly put her career on hold to support him as he pursues his dream. So they packed their bags, their two little boys, and went with RJ to New York for the year.
They settled in a nice upscale apartment near the campus and got a nice 7 seater Lexus SUV. Never mind that the whole year's rent for their spacious high-end 4 bedroom apartment plus their SUV probably costed more than his scholardship. As long as his wife and kids are safe snd comfy, then money is no object. Maine adapted quickly on being a young housewife with two youngsters in tow. The first half of the year, Mama Virgie went with them to help out. But when the cold months started, they had to send and exchange for Ate Pearl since Mama Virgie can't take too much of the cold and New York is freezing during winter.
Their toddlers took to life in the States like ducks to water. Their firstborn Thirdy settling nicely into play school, with baby Theo celebrating his first birthday there. Maine was a very hands on mama with their baby boys, taking care of them from sun up to sun down. She cherished their life there. In NY they were a regular young family. There were still fans of course, but they allowed the family their distance and need for privacy.
RJ has a full weekly school schedule- because in general, his film-making course usually takes two years, but they cramped it into one. His classes starts at 9am and ends at 4pm everyday except on Fridays which ends at 3pm giving him an early start to a good weekend to spend with his family.
Maine also took advantage of the opportunity, and with her husband also motivating her - took some short courses and workshops on novel and script-writing. They love their life in New York. Taking little walks and picnics at Central Park, their two little boys chasing, feeding pigeons, and running around. Maine loves going to Rockefeller Center and the always busy Times Square. RJ loves going to Whole Foods with his wife and sons - just like regular people shopping. His small family are his favorite subject on his film experiments and projects.
