Friday had finally arrived and Anne was nervous about her date with Charlie. On the one hand, Charlie was sweet and caring and would choose a place romantic. On the other hand she had no idea where she was going or what to wear.
"Anne! Calm down and let me do your hair", ordered Diana. Diana was round for moral support and to dress up her best friend for her first date.
"Okay, but what if he doesn't like me after today and what if I don't like him. I'm not too certain on my feelings yet Di", a panicked Anne revealed.
"Stop worrying. You will get wrinkles.", Cole laughed. Cole was a new friend Anne had made. He was outgoing and artistic, but also very witty. She and Diana was his first friends and they knew his biggest secret. He was gay. Most of the school already know and accepted him, but he had to come out properly on his own terms. He was there to see what Anne looked like all dressed up.
Anne shot him a glare. Diana laughed and pushed Anne's head forward so she could finish curling her hair.
"What make up are you doing?", questioned Cole. He started to rummage through Anne's make up collection.
"Hey! Stop. If you must know, I'm going to do a very thin black liner with mascara and gold glitter in the crease of my eyes. Then a light nude lip probably.", Anne in formed Cole as she started to begin her make up.
"Sexyyy!!", winked Cole. The trio laughed and chatted for a while until Diana was done with Anne's hair and Anne was done with her make up.
Before they could start choosing her outfit a knock came from outside Anne's room.
"Come in!", Anne yelled. In came Jerry with a smile plastered across his face when he saw Diana.
"Bonjour Diana. Vous êtes belle aujourd'hui.", (translation - Hello Diana, You look beautiful today).
"Bonjour Jerry. Ravi de vous revoir", (translation - Hello Jerry. Nice to see you again)
Diana and Jerry both had smiles across their faces and where staring at each other for what felt like an eternity to Anne and Cole. Neither Anne or Cole knew what they were saying, so Diana and Jerry often held private conversations right in front of them.
"What are you doing here Jerry?", questioned Anne.
"Your Marilla let me up. She is very nice. I was told by Charlie to bring you too the restaurant since he couldn't persuade his dad to let him use the car.", Jerry chuckled slightly.
Anne laughed slightly and informed Jerry, Diana and Cole that she would be down in a second. She didn't need help choosing an outfit.
Eventually she found the perfect choice. It was a black top with a off brown/orange jacket paired with black ripped jeans as well as back heels.
