Gilbert Blythe was a tall, dark curly-haired, hazel eyed handsome boy. He is very popular in Avonlea High School and adored by his fellow students and citizens. Gilbert was known for being flirtatious towards the girls and has never withheld a relationship. He also has a brilliant mind and was used to being the smartest in his year. That was until he met Anne Shirley-Cuthbert.

"Did you hear that the Cuthbert's arrived back in Avonlea with their new adopted daughter. I thought it was rumors that they adopted someone in Nova Scotia, but i guess not. They have had her for 5 years," Josie Pye gathered around her friends and started to fill them in on the latest gossip.
"Yeah, I know. I met her a few days ago and she's really nice. I agreed to give her a lift to school and introduce her to all of you" a raven-haired girl with fair skin and dark eyes beamed at the thought of her newly required friend.
"So she's like a real orphan then?" questioned Jane Andrews. Diana (the girl with raven hair) simply nodded and carried on eating her lunch.
"What's her name?", Ruby Gillis looked towards Diana Barry and waited for her response.
"Anne, but she spells it with an e", Diana replied to her small, blonde-haired friend.
Before any of the girls could ask any more questions about this mysterious new girl joining there school, the rest of their group arrived. The boys.
"Are you talking about the Cuthbert's latest addition to their small family. The orphan girl" a tall blonde boy named Billy Andrews voiced with disgust.
Josie nodded in agreement and turned to give her boyfriend Billy a peck on his lips.
"What's this about an orphan",a boy piped up. He had dark messy curly hair and hazel eyes. Gilbert Blythe.
"The new girl that's joining our school next week. The one that was adopted in Nova Scotia a couple years ago by the Cuthbert's.", Tillie told the curious boy sitting across from her.
Gilbert nodded and started to eat his lunch unaware that the new girl was about to change his life.

Anne Shirley-Cuthbert was petrified to begin school. She had felt extremely lucky to move away from the city with Matthew and Marilla considering she was tormented constantly at her old school in Nova Scotia. She felt relieved to have already met Diana, she wasn't entirely alone.
Anne decided to tie her hair in a low fishtail braid that hung nicely on her back. She pulled little pieces of hair out of the plait to frame her face. Anne didn't usually wear lots of makeup, only mascara,some foundation to cover her darks circles around her eyes and she would fill her in eyebrows slightly.
She looked through her wardrobe for the perfect first impression outfit. Since mostly everyone knew who she was already, due to her move, Anne decided she would make an effort on her appearance.She opted for a grey wooly jumper and black jeans tied together with a black and silver belt. Her shoes were white trainers.
