(DON'T PLAY THE SONG)

It was Saturday afternoon when Anne and Diana were deciding what to wear for the bonfire. Diana wanted to impress Jerry with her outfit because she has developed a crush on him over the last week.

"Everyone else should been round soon Anne!", Diana informed her bosom friend. They were round Diana's house to get ready.

"Okay", Anne replied.

Sure enough, 5 minutes later knocks came erupting for the door. Diana opened the door to greet everyone, who had unusually arrived at the same time.

"Come on in. Let's head upstairs and start getting ready!", Diana hurried the girls upstairs.

They all entered the room and said their hellos to Anne who was already in Diana's bedroom.

"Come on! We have no time to waste bitches", Josie said while pulling out her hair and makeup equipment.

"Anne. You have to let me do your make up!!", pleaded Ruby.

Anne considered this for a while before making a decision.

"Okay, but nothing too out there. Something natural please.", she gave Ruby a glare which indicated that she was serious.

"Of course. Nothing too dramatic", she replied with a snark.

"I mean it Ruby", Anne was know looking at her directly in the eye.

"Alright. I promise", now her face was more convincing. She nodded for Ruby to proceed with the make up. Ruby had already done her make up previously before coming to Diana's, so she could do Anne's with no excuse.

They 6 girls were 30 mins into the getting ready process now and Ruby was finally nearly finished.

She opted for a full brow, but little foundation since she loved Anne's freckles. Her eyeshadow was a light smokey look with some gold glitter in the cut crease and inner corners of the eyes. She went for a light brown nude lip.

"Wow. Anne. I must say you look marvellous.", Tillie commented as she looked over to see how the two girls were doing.

"Thanks Tills. My make up abilities are far past my comprehension", Ruby laughed along with Anne, who still hadn't looked at her reflection.

Anne turned around to face the mirror and was amazed by her reflection. She looked like an older more mature version of herself. For once she didn't mind her freckles or her facial structure.

"Wow. Ruby you really outdid yourself. The make up looks amazing", Anne gave her friend a hug.

"Thanks Anne", Ruby returned the hug.

"Anne you do look amazing. Make sure to wear your hair down though", Jane said.

Everyone nodded in agreement to Jane's statement. Anne was reluctant at first, but eventually agreed to have her hair down and curly. Josie practically demanded to curl Anne's hair as she was the best at them.

45 minutes now go by and all the girls are ready to put on their outfits. Anne's hair was a natural beach wave, ready for the beach bonfire.
