Timeskip: Midnight...

Asumi tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep. Her eyes watered due to not sleeping but at the same time, she wanted to get up and wander. The words that Luke had said rummaged through Asumi's brain and it messed with her badly. 'Never trust a demon... Especially when that demon is Lucifer...'

Asumi sighed as she placed her palm on her forehead before she heard someone call her name. It seemed to sound like a female's voice; a young and high-pitched voice. 'Sumi... Asumi..!  Can you hear me?'

"Huh? What the...?" Asumi gasped as she slowly sat up in bed. 'Sumi...! Follow my voice...' The young female voice whispered. "W-who are you..?" Asumi whispered. The voice giggled.

"There's no time! Come... We have lots to discuss," she said. Asumi did as she was told as began to follow the voice around the House of Lamentation and down some flights of stairs, only to be stopped by a certain demon.

"Asumi? What are you doing here so late at night? Out for a stroll?"

Lucifer was sitting on the stairs. "L-Lucifer! I-I was just uh... exploring the house a bit..." Asumi lied. "Oh, well where you are heading is the Underground Tomb. There's really nothing in there, I assure you," Lucifer said, however, only piquing the human's interest even more. However, it was painfully obvious that she could not walk past him.

"Mind if I join you?" Asumi asked, causing Lucifer to raise a brow. He reluctantly patted the spot next to him as a gesture for Asumi to join him. The human was surprised, but nevertheless, she sat next to him, their silhouettes illuminated by the cold moonlight coming through the window on the ceiling.

Things were quiet between the demon and the human until the brown-haired woman broke the silence. She looked at the shining stars through the ceiling window. ".....The night is beautiful, don't you think?" Asumi asked, Lucifer whipping his head to face the human. "Y-You think so too?" Lucifer replied, countering Asumi's question with one of his own. Asumi's eyes glistened like glass from the magnificent lighting, and Lucifer's chest felt like it was swelling up again.

"Yes, I find it quite lovely. I spend most of my nights in my apartment just staring at the window back in the human world. It reminds me how vast the world really is," the human lowered her head before looking at the Avatar of Pride. "What about you, Lucifer? Why do you like the night?"

Lucifer blinked a couple of times before he chose to stand up with a small grunt. "I... well, I also think the mysterious beauty of the night draws me to it," Lucifer claimed. He stepped up the stairs at picked up a vase filled with lavender, "I was also taught by an old friend that lavender helps us relax when we need to sleep, so I replace the vases every night with fresh ones. "

Asumi giggled, "that's kind of you, Lucifer."

Lucifer gulped at the compliment, put down the vase, and sighed. "I suppose. Now, I suggest you go to bed now. I don't want to have to wake you in the morning for breakfast," the Avatar of Pride instructed. "But what about the underground tomb-?" Asumi's mouth was quickly shut.

"Now," Lucifer thundered quietly. Asumi pressed her lips into a thin line and nodded reluctantly. "Alright then, Lucifer. Have a good night, and let's maybe talk like this more, hm? You aren't as bad as everybody makes you out to be," she smiled softly.

Lucifer blushed suddenly, but he was glad that his face wasn't in the light. "Perhaps... now go," he said. Lucifer watched her run off, but quickly let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. He felt it again, that familiarity, and it set off a bit of pain in his heart at the memory he was replaying in his head of the old times he'd...
