Asumi groaned as she stretched her back after dusting off the final set of shelves. She checked underneath her bandages and saw that the bruise was merely just a small red spot on her skin. The best part is that it didn't really hurt as much anymore, so Lucifer should be able to let her attend RAD tomorrow.
Without any further thought, she quickly rushed down to the kitchen to meet up with Mammon.
"Mammon..?" the human whispered. "About time ya showed up! I've been waitin' for almost 20 minutes! Geez, don't let Lucifer use ya like that. He's just an utter jerk of a brother. Anyways, come with me," Mammon replied as he lead Asumi into the kitchen.
Asumi gasped quietly when she saw that Mammon was holding a recipe book and some ingredients laid out on the table. "What's going on?" she asked. "Well, as your assigned babysitter and best friend, it is my duty to make sure you're alive! That includes keepin' ya fed since ya didn't bother comin' down for dinner!" Mammon declared as he tossed a wooden spoon at Asumi which she caught.
The human chuckled. "That's thoughtful of you. So, what are you planning to make?" she asked. "Deep-fried scorpion sandwiches with vinegar and tartar sauce. It's a simple meal and it's my specialty!" Mammon replied.
"Uhh... what about Lucifer? Won't he be upset for us cooking this late?" Asumi interjected.
"It'll be fine! Trust me, it'll be worth havin' a meal before goin' to bed!" Mammon rolled his eyes and patted Asumi on the shoulder. "Alright, then. What do you want me to do?" Asumi smiled. "I'll prepare the ingredients and you'll do the cookin'. How 'bout that?" Mammon said.
"Sounds good to me. Come on, before Beel sniffs us out," Asumi giggled. The two began to cook up some food and never in their lives had they felt so synchronized.
It was all fun with maybe a tiny little flour fight, but either way, they enjoyed it.
"Hey, Mammon! Could you pass me the tartar sauce that you left in the fridge, please?" Asumi called out as she placed the deep-fried scorpions onto some poison hemlock greens. "Sure. Man, this'll be the best meal you'll ever have!" Mammon smiled, walking over to the fridge.
The demon rummaged through the fridge for the dressing that was hiding behind a few things. He pulled out a container of a yellow substance that seemed to smell like vanilla.
"Eh? What's this? Custard?" Mammon tilted the container around. Asumi looked at what Mammon was holding as it seemed to have a note attached to the bottom which said: "Property of Beelzebub. You eat it, you DIE."
"I don't think we should touch that," Asumi spoke. Mammon nodded. "Ehhh... you're right. You don't wanna deal with an angry Beel, and neither do I. I'll just put it-"
"Mammon, wait! There's water-!" Asumi shouted. "GYAHH!!" Mammon gasped, falling to the floor as the custard launched out of Mammon's hands and crashed onto his head.
"Ugh....! Gross!" Mammon groaned. "Mammon! Are you okay?!" Asumi cried as she rushed over to him. "No, I'm not okay! Now I've gotta shower all over again and make sure there aren't any stains! I have white hair, Asumi! White hair!" Mammon huffed as he tried to get rid of the bits of yellow stuff.
