The human quickly picked up her D.D.D. to contact Simeon the next morning, asking if she could come over so they could discuss what she had told him over the last day of the retreat. After receiving a yes from Simeon and an invitation to join him, Luke, and Solomon for breakfast, Asumi messaged Lucifer that she would not be needing breakfast and prepared to leave for Purgatory Hall.
Asumi had never been to Purgatory Hall before, but she knew it was a nice place. For sure, it would be much more appealing to look at rather than the intimidating exterior of the House of Lamentation.
Asumi smiled at the sight of the celestial-looking house in the distance and it stood out compared to the rest of the dark streets of the Devildom.
An off-white coloured house with a dark teal roof and golden accents met Asumi's eyes when she turned around the corner. Evergreen bushes decorated with string lights and shiny lanterns lit up the dark Devildom air around Purgatory Hall. The brown-haired human raced to the doorstep before ringing the doorbell. Within a couple of seconds, the door opened to reveal a familiar white-haired sorcerer with a wide grin.
"Asumi! It's so good to see you all in one piece! Asmo told me about what happened yesterday," the man said as he went in for a hug.
"It's great to see you too, Solomon! Yeah..." Asumi beamed, reciprocating Solomon's embrace. "Come in, come in. Simeon and Luke are in the kitchen preparing their special pancakes and morning tea," Solomon said. He stepped aside to allow Asumi into the building before shutting the doors behind him.
He lead Asumi down a long hallway with teal carpeting, white walls, and extraordinary paintings and relics being displayed, asking how she was doing and if the brothers have caused Lucifer to gain an extra set of wrinkles. Asumi couldn't help but laugh at that statement.
Solomon and Asumi took their seats in the dining hall as they smelled the delicious scent of vanilla and tea wafting through the room.
Just then, Simeon and Luke came out of the kitchen with a small trolley with plates of steaming pancakes and two pairs of tea sets on top. The pancakes had sweet delectable syrup made of hellfire rose nectar mixed with a couple of hints of honey and vanilla with a blood raspberry on top.
Luke waved at the brown-haired human. "Hey, Asumi! I'm glad you could join us for breakfast!" the boy's high-pitched voice squealed. "When I told Luke that you'd be coming, he was over the moon. He made sure I didn't spill a drop of ingredient and used exact measurements," Simeon said, pitching in. Luke's face flushed.
"H-hey! I just wanted to make sure we d-didn't make a mess! A-and also because we shouldn't be using more than what is intended, s-so don't go getting t-the wrong idea!" he huffed.
Simeon and Luke spread the plates on the table and sat down to join Solomon and Asumi. "I heard Satan nearly killed you yesterday, Asumi. I'm glad that demon friend of yours came to your rescue," Simeon said, starting a conversation.
"You mean that demon-dragon lady, right? What was her name again?" Luke asked, looking up at the taller angel. "Yes, Luke. Melody is a half-breed of dragon and demon. Asumi's very fortunate to have her as a friend," Simeon nodded. Asumi giggled at their adorable interaction. "Actually, it was Lucifer who called Mammon and then Mammon called Melody and told her about my situation with Satan," Asumi said, chuckling.
Solomon looked genuinely surprised. "Lucifer?! Really?" he gasped. "Y-yeah. If it weren't for him contacting the two of them, I probably would be six feet under by now, haha!" Asumi replied, grinning sheepishly as she earned a sly grin from Simeon and Solomon. "Awww~ that was sweet of him," Solomon teased.
