"AHH!! YOU'RE SO MEAN, BELPHIE!!" Beelzebub shouted.
"Well, maybe if you didn't fall for the trick... then maybe you wouldn't have had to do that," Belphegor yawned. "Now draw your 32 cards."
Asumi and Luke laughed as they watched the twins battle to the death at a card game they were playing with them. Apparently, Belphegor had a plan to "betray" Beelzebub by making sure everyone had two 2+ cards in their deck, Belphegor holding the wild card. The Avatar of Gluttony sulked with a mixture of pouting while he picked up his cards from the spare pile.
"Wow, I didn't know Belphie had it deep for these games," Asumi chortled as she shuffled through her deck to put down her next card: an 8 red of roses. "Please! He was always like this when we played card games back in the Celestial Realm," Luke scoffed, placing down a 2 of swords. "Really? Even as an angel, he was THIS competitive, huh... I guess I'll just have to step up my game!" Asumi squealed.
"Well, I don't think so because... I've already won," Belphegor chuckled, placing down his last card. "Never again..." Luke groaned, frustratingly throwing his deck into the pile and grumbling. Belphegor stretched his back while Asumi went to put away the cards back onto their shelf as they continued to do their own thing.
The day passed onwards without Lucifer or any of the other brothers finding out Luke was around, much to the twins' and Asumi's delight. Maybe keeping the angel wasn't going to be so hard after all.
Right?
Dinner time soon came around and Satan had called everyone down. Asumi stayed back for a while to make sure Luke was safe. "So, you got what I said?" Asumi finished. "Mhm! Stay in the closet until you, Beel, and Belphie come back," Luke nodded. "Good! Anyway, I heard Satan made some black tapir roast and some boiled devil cabbage along with some other stuff. Want some of that?" Asumi said.
"Just the roast would be good. Just don't bring back any of those bat wings or scorpion sandwiches..." Luke smiled.
"Can do, Luke. I'll see you later!" Asumi nodded and hopped off to the dining hall. She tossed the brothers a smile which caused them to smile as soon as the human entered the room.
She quickly plopped in between Asmodeus and Lucifer as they were eating their portion of food.
Asumi began to eat a little bit, saving some for Luke as she chatted with some of the brothers. Mammon took notice of Asumi's behaviour and called her out. "Oi, why aren't ya eatin' much. Ya feelin' sick or somethin'?" he asked.
"I ate a snack earlier. I guess I took more than I needed," Asumi mumbled. "Why'd ya eat before dinner?! That's stupid!" Mammon shouted. "Yeah, okay sure," Asumi replied as she lifted the corners of her lips.
"Mammon, quit bugging Asumi. If she's not hungry, she's not hungry," Lucifer said.
"Someone cares for my health," Asumi cooed. Lucifer stopped moving to take a moment to hold in the fire in his chest that appeared out of nowhere. Of course, he cared for her health. Of course, he did... Of course. Lucifer proceeded to put out the fire with a narrow glare at Asumi who didn't seem to be bothered as she was laughing at him. Lucifer found it hard to ridicule her for it.
Leviathan took notice of his older brother's behaviour and wolf-whistled. "Ooooh~ Lucifer's not denying it~" he snickered, "could it be that THE Avatar of Pride is succumbing to his emotions? Hahaha!"
Asmodues squealed and held Leviathan's hands in excitement. "Lucifer and a human? I can see it now!" the Avatar of Lust shouted. "Psh! Nah, I don't think Asumi will break him that easily. I mean, have you seen that brute? He's our brother for hell's sake!" Mammon rolled his eyes.
