It was a miracle that we left the White Witch's camp in one piece. Well, two pieces. We were two people. Sorry. Attempt at a joke. A bad one.
As you may already know, I made jokes in serious situations. That was just who I am. Most of them were bad but at least they helped me calm down.
We ran back to the place where we had started walking on foot and we got on our horses to rush back to the castle to inform Caspian and everyone about what was happening.
A lot of questions were on my mind and on Trumpkin's. But all that mattered was that we got to the castle in time and warned everyone. We handed our horses to Mr. Henry. "Please keep them in the stables." I told him. "Thank you so much. We're in a hurry." I said really quickly before Trumpkin and I ran to the castle.
Everyone was talking in groups as we entered. People tried to stop me to have a talk but I excused myself, hopefully politely. They could see that we were in a hurry and in shock. "Your Majesty-" Reepicheep started walking with us.
"We need you." Trumpkin interrupted him.
"That is awfully polite of you but-"
"Get Glenstorm and everyone." I told him.
"But-"
"Just do it!" Trumpkin ordered as we made our way to the library.
"Professor?" I called out as I entered. Don't ask me how I knew they were in the library. It was instincts.
"Sophie?" Caspian's voice came out from the end of the room.
"We need to evacuate the kingdom."
"We need to get our troops ready." Trumpkin said.
"What happened?" The Professor asked.
"The White Witch is back." Trumpkin and I said at the same time.
Caspian looked confused. "What?"
"Glenstorm told me that the constellations indicated for a war. I thought it was between Narnians but it is against her."
My eyes widened up as I realized what I had said. "Sophie?" Caspian came towards me.
"That's what the hag said." I whispered, lost in my thoughts.
"Sophie?" He touched my arm.
"There was a hag in my dream." I started. "The nightmare yesterday." The whole thing came back to me. It started to make sense. How hadn't I made that connection before? Of course she had asked someone to bring her back!
Trumpkin and Caspian looked at each other. "Hags have always supported the Witch." The Professor said. "What happened in your dream?"
"We need to talk to the woman."
That was the same woman I had seen in my dream. The hag went to her house with one intention in her mind - to bring her back. She was scared to speak her name and even refer to her as the Witch.
